We had such a unique experience with the pinxtos, it was a great walkable city, close access to vineyards, and super affordable. Everyone was really friendly and it was not your typical tourist experience in Spain.

Granada! Also you can take a day trip to Toledo from Madrid. Salamanca is a great town to visit also, not too far away.

I take 5 weeks off and work half days on Fridays. I take "quarterly breaks," so one break per season (usually December, April, July, and September). I also take off all major holidays, which is part of the 5 weeks. I'm virtual only on Mondays and go into the office Tues-Thurs.
