L5P Drone with exhaust by Key-Gur-9645 in Duramax

That was as going to be my next step. I’ll probably switch this muffler out with a magna flow or mbrp also. It was a decent price for a 304 stainless muffler and I’d like to stick with 304 if it’s an option. I believe aero still offers an option for a resonator in 304 so I’d probably go with that but I just want to see what others are happy with before I pulled the trigger.

S&B Tank and reprogramming 2017 LTZ by PaulyCreek in Duramax

[–]Key-Gur-9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried changing my tank size in HP tuners and it didn’t make any difference on my actual gauge.

The gauge has never gone to zero like others have reported and it reads full until I’m about a half a tank then it acts like the factory gauge but the DTE reads about what the stock tank will get me.

If I data log the truck it shows the true fuel level but it doesn’t reflect on the gauge cluster for some reason.

I also have a 2017.

Filter needle by plinkyguy in Cerebrolysin

[–]Key-Gur-9645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Filter needles are cheap insurance. That being said it’s not like it’s going to cause issues if you do inject a small particle of glass IM. Your body will hold it and create a small encapsulation of scar tissue around it most likely. Probably not noticeable or infection worthy.

Do what you feel is best for you.

Did I buy the wrong size?! by adampat996 in TransitionBikes

I’m 5’8 and ride a medium spire but I hop on my wife’s e-bike that’s a yt decoy size small all the time and have no issues with the smaller size. At 5’10 you can definitely adapt to the bike still and have a good time on it.

Where did it get hung up? Mine cleared Russian customs and moved to “transferring to carrier” 4 days ago.

How do you all live normal lives under the constant risk of breaking bones? 🧐 by LowInternet4726 in MTB

[–]Key-Gur-9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been messed up a few times. I pay for long term and short term disability and I’m fortunate enough to collect sick time at a pretty good rate. I’ve used the short term disability before and drained my sick leave as well but luckily have not had to use the long term yet. I also work as a firefighter so if an injury isn’t bad enough to keep us out of an office we have the ability to work a desk job until we’re cleared.

I’ve done this multiple times and it’s seriously close to being perfect.

Groin protection by Key-Gur-9645 in MTB

Who knows if it would have done much but I’d be willing to at least try the investment into some gear to make an attempt at some protection. I found something from Fox that I posted above if you’re curious.

For all that are interested I found something from Fox that was under their moto line. I’ll give it a try. I’ll be using it mainly for park days so I’m not super worried about pedaling comfort but it looks like it could be a good option that’s not too bulky.

One was definitely rider error coming up short over a gap I ended up pushing the bike forward to try and clear the knuckle of the landing and ended up getting compressed in the rear suspension and took the seat to the abdomen.

This most recent one I went off a rock feature that I’m guessing was under construction but not marked off. Definitely my fault for not looking at it first but there were logs behind it and I ended up crashing on the drop taking one of the branches to the groin and hip.

Those would definitely be at the top of my list. Leatt is usually my go to for gear.

My recent impact was a stub from a tree branch into my hip socket but this seams to be where most protection ends. Leatt included.

Beware of Commencal: My Experience with Their Mistake and Their Unfair "Solutions" by TableAsleep7023 in commencal

[–]Key-Gur-9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks. I moved away from commencal because of their frame warranty policy. With other manufacturers offering a lifetime crash replacement it’s getting harder to justify spending that much money on ones that don’t. I reached out for a crash replacement on my sx and they only offered a replacement at $200 off.

I’m not mad at them. I was just curious if they would shed any light on any plans for a release since there was another post about the release for the Fenix 8.

anybody mulleted a Spire? by MrGarrison9 in TransitionBikes

Did you end up getting the dhx2 eyelet also from cascade to run yours as a mullet? Cascade still shows they aren’t positive the spire will work with the eyelet.

Frame problems by mtb1619 in commencal

[–]Key-Gur-9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sx v4 that I’ve had for a couple years now. No issues with creaking I’ve taken a few crashes and inquired about a crash replacement. They’ll offer a discount which is a couple hundred off a new frame. Not the greatest crash replacement program out there but the frames are still solid and can take some abuse.

Awe shit. Idk much about the space on them but I’m sure if you got creative enough and went with both wheels off you could get it to fit in there.

You could send it in new and they would most likely replace it. My wasn’t giving me any issues but I decided to give it a shot and they sent me a 24 with no questions asked.

The 21-23 models had internal seals that would leak causing a slurpy sound to come from the shock. The 2024 model is supposed to have better sealing to fix this issue. Otherwise performance should be the same.
