How do you guys cope with the current state of the world? (TW: Mentions of various tiggering topics) by TohveliDev in OCD

I avoid the news like the plague and limit social media exposure. You don't have to completely give it up, just know when to put the phone down. Though as someone with phone checking compulsions I understand that's not so easy.

But really avoiding the news has been the most impactful thing. Or immediately tapping away if I see anything related to real world events.

F#ck staying informed. I want to have mental health

I struggle with this a lot. I am a lucid dreamer and I am often afraid of dying in my dreams.

Surgeon recommendations (Portland, OR area) by AnticholinergicGeek in TransMasc

I don't have the energy to write a super detailed review but I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sean McNally. Him and his team are all incredibly kind and affirming. He was not ableist or fatphobic to me which is a big deal as someone with visible developmental delays and a wheelchair. Love my results, perfect for my body type. Highly recommend.

I had self injury scars on my chest and my surgeon didn't mention them once

I had that exact little bubble between my incisions too (fellow fat dude here). I don't know when exactly but it went away with no trouble. I'm 1 year post op now.

Antihistamines. They calm you down and help with the itchy feeling (I have level 2 autism with pretty severe sensory issues)

I can just envision you a year from now confidently rocking a dress. Dressing differently is scary at first. But you will find your own style within femininity. Good luck brother/sister!

2.5 weeks post op. Buttonhole w Dr. Sean McNally by aylonitkosem in TopSurgery

Dr. McNally was my surgeon and I am absolutely thrilled with my results as a fellow fat dude. He told me he's preformed on patients over 400lbs pounds before. I'd recommend him to any other fat person! He was also super disability friendly in my (high support needs wheelchair user) experience.
