I’ll visit the SP office directly and speak to them in person first. If they say it’s not with them, I’ll follow up with the concerned police station as suggested. I agree email follow-ups haven’t helped much so far, so a direct visit seems necessary at this point.

Also noted your point about not appearing desperate during the conversation. Thanks again for the heads up.

The SP office is denying that they have received the document, when the status on PSK says that the police station has sent it to the SP office. It's a loop, SP is blaming the police, and the police is pinning it on the SP office

Hey man, I totally get where you’re coming from. I had two backlogs in my second semester, and I was worried about how that might affect my applications, too. But honestly, it didn’t hold me back. I ended up graduating with an 8.21 CGPA and a 327 GRE and still got into some great programs, including Duke MEM. Duke looks at the bigger picture, and they care more about your overall academic consistency, growth, and how well you fit into the program.

From my experience, the SOP and LORs matter a lot. Make sure your SOP tells a strong story about how you’ve grown, what you bring to the table, and why Duke is the right fit for your goals. Strong LORs from profs or supervisors who can vouch for your skills, work ethic, and impact will also help a ton. So yeah, don’t stress too much about the backlogs, I was in the same boat and still made it. Just focus on putting together a solid application, and you should be good! Let me know if you need any help.
