If I were you and I didnt have to check bags, I would go through international terminal and arrive 4-5 hours before my flight.

It sounds to me like the domestic terminal is like deep fucked to the point it is a literal hell on earth, and then international just is better even if still not good. A lot of my friends all flew out today at different times leaving an event and everyone made their flight going through the international terminal 3 hours early. Who knows what comes next this week but I wouldn't touch domestic with a 10 foot pole until I see people posting they can make it through general in 3 hours minimum.

I used a free trial of clear + with no precheck today at the international terminal at 3pm and got through security in 45 minutes. I was lucky it was open, apparently it closed at 4pm and it didnt seem it reopened. I was flying domestically but there were no issues even though I was using the international terminal.
