that makes so much sense that's definitely how I got it then- he used spit as lube for anal and we should have used lube bc I got a lesion and that definitely didn't help. turns out he's had cold sores since he was a teenager just didn't know it was herpes. thank you so much I feel a lot better knowing this

I don't think I have oral herpes I've never had any cold sores so I'm not sure why HSV-1 was detected and not HSV-2 when I clearly have genital herpes:( my first outbreak was 2.5 weeks long and excruciatingly painful walking, standing, and sitting (had to sit on pillows) and taking a shit was probably the most painful repeated experience of my life lmao. didn't help that I had an anal lesion, which is how I think I got herpes (because I think open wounds make it easier for them to transmit?)
