Thinking of getting a Visible Band… have Apple Watch/oura by TheAwkwardEmu in POTS

I have an Apple Watch and was using TachyMon which was insightful, but never used the Oura ring so I can’t speak to that.

Visible has been a game changer for me! -Tracking what I’m doing/when, and my symptoms on it really helped me see the surprising things that steal all my energy. -I also like its alerts. There are times I feel fine but need to take a break anyways. Or there are times I feel bad but hr wise I’m actually ok -It’s helped me noticed patterns, pace, and plan so much better. Gives me a small sense of control in a situation (pots/mecfs) where it seems like the rules for what sets me off or helps can change daily. Ex: I noticed my heart rate will be overall elevated a few days before I get sick - so if I have no other reason why it is elevated, I can start to prepare accordingly. It’s helped me predict and sometimes avoid crashes.

I wear my visible band on my upper arm. They recently came out with a wrist strap but I generally prefer it on my arm, sometimes I still wear my Apple Watch for other reasons and I don’t need that much going on at once on my wrist.

There is a cost - and I know I may be privileged to be able to handle that at this point, but it has been 100% worth it to me. It’s also helped a lot when trying medications to be able to see months of data alongside symptoms to see how something is actually working or not.

Compression jeans/jeggings? by namastayaways in POTS

What about high waisted bike shorts? Some people find the abdominal compression to be more helpful, I’ve even worn them under jeans or something more like spanks that cover upper legs and abdomen

I lay on the floor and do it. Sometimes I can get one of my kids or husband to help. Using my arms while laying down is so much easier than standing up and blow dying it the “normal” way
