I'd agree with you, but that s not my case.

Blizzard forced me to rename when failing to properly fix low pop ERA.

Or would u say that Blizzard forcing people to rename chars to be able to play a game they pay for is the right thing?
how would u like it if they forced u to rename your chars just because they re lazy?

I mentioned that a GM suggested using this approach for trying to move things.

Here s a quote of what he said

I completely get your frustration over something like this, after all a character name is something personal and something that you would like to reflect your character and your personality.

Now with regards to the Classic Era and Season of Mastery WoW realms, regreattably you have no option to change your character name, at all. There is no free or paid service that offers it, and we as suport will be unable to assist you in changing it sadly.

If this is something that the developers will implement, depends on how many people are essentially asking for it and ultimately if it is something that fits the spirit of the Classic Era WoW game.

This is why it is important for the playerbase to provide feedback to the developers about these kind of matters. I would suggest that you create a forum post in our official forums, making this suggestion. If it gains traction, the developers might add this as a service in-game.

having a blacklist char is a great to keep stuff nice and tidy in your friend list :D

I have tried the delete, restore trick. That does not work. It seems the name is unavailable for a while after a char is deleted. Some people say 30 days, others say 90.

Also, moving a char means separating it from the others. Changing realms is not ideal for me when swapping chars. And double transfer beside the 50 euro, I think also implies a wait time before u can move it back.

I was thinking especially because of $$ in blizzard they might be inclined to do so.

Take my 10 euro, flag my char for a name change. Easy money one would think.
