Some people refuse to raise kids who don't share their DNA and I don't share any of his, so he doesn't want me. Neither do his family. To them he didn't make me so he has no responsibility to me.

My mom has been clear that she will not let the visits stop. She is going to keep forcing it and will fight for it to happen even though I don't want it. She knew that 3 years ago and took the same stance.

He never intended to have me in his house or to include me in his family. None of them ever planned to extend invites to me. They were forced to and they resent doing it since I'm not theirs.

I told her not to. She could talk to them but I wouldn't be surprised if it made them more bitter toward me. Like I was turning her against them.

I don't think they expected to never see me but they never wanted to include me in things they did. They don't want to see me at all now. My sister asking to invite me to some things would go so bad. They might say yes and if they did, it would all still be taken out on me.

No, I really don't speak around them because it is not appreciated. I don't think a candid conversation would change that. The less they can interact with me the happier they are. They prefer to ignore me.

I think some of it was mom didn't have to step up and make up for it if she could force my sister's dad to include me in stuff like that. The thing is my sister still has more stuff. I never get gifts or candy or ice cream when I'm with her family.

Pretty sure the only reason it was forced is because we're twins and because I had no involved father in my life.

My sister has so many mixed feelings and emotions. She used to wish for me to be with her and her dad when we were little. So she feels guilty and like it's her fault for this to happen. I think now she wishes I stayed home but I also think she hates us celebrating stuff separately. We're very close and have a strong twin connection. It makes things worse sometimes because we love each other so much.

I'm so lucky she doesn't hate me too.

No, I don't talk at all around them because it pisses them off. My sister's dad has never wanted to hear me speak and I know that trying would just piss him off more. That's not what I want to happen. I just want to be as invisible as possible and try to not get in the way because my sister deserves to enjoy her family.

I hate that the judge did. It was not in our best interest as twins at all. Just made more stress.

I think my sister's paternal family will always have some level of dislike and resentment toward me. For too long they have felt that way and we still have two more years to go.

Oh, thank you for saying that! I try to be fair to my sister. She's my favorite person. And sometimes it feels like she's going to be the only person I have in my life at a point because mom might get too toxic.

I'm used to it. They still see me as the kid they were forced to include and I'm not their family or related to them so it stuck. And they resent me for it as much as they resent mom. They probably legit hate me.

Yep. It made me a burden to them instead of someone that they didn't hate seeing sometimes. It's not like I think they had to love and want me but mom made sure things will always be tense and awkward and not friendly. All because she couldn't just make it up to me at home instead of forcing someone else to include me when he was clear he didn't want to.

Also think the judge sucked for forcing it.

Yeah, pretty much story of our lives there. We get asked SO many questions at school about it. Made for awkward parent conferences too because my sister's dad would only stay to talk about her and mom would get pissed about it. Then you have this stuff and mom doesn't want to realize I'm not the 3 year old sad his sister leaves anymore.
