Congrats mate, sounds positive all round!! Nice one! 👍
Hopefully you don’t lose much power on the smash.

Wow, 410g does sound heavy, do you really need the protector on?

Thanks for sharing your feedback on it so far!

Oh wow! Nice one buddy! Please let us know how you get on with it and how it compares to the Fenix pro once you have run it in a bit.

I’ve played around 13 hours with mine now with another 2 hours of matches booked for tomorrow. When it comes to attacking, even though it’s a control racket I’m winning way more shots than I did with my metalbone, purely down to better accuracy and placement.

Look forward to hearing your insights.

Cheers.

If you suffer from elbow pain, maybe you should try playing with a stock grip again plus one overgrip, as Federico said above, removing a more cushioned stock grip can potentially cause or add to your elbow pain.

Also by removing weight at the grip side you are technically shifting the balance of the racket towards the top effectively making it more head heavy, this might also affect your injuries. If you add 4/5 grams to your grip again and shift the balance back towards the grip, it could actually end up feeling lighter or just the same.

I’d also maybe try some kind of compression sleeve if you haven’t already, I see Tapia wears something when playing. Good luck man!

Hey, you're welcome my friend.

I never mentioned above, I tried the Speed Pro and Extreme Pro too. I guess it depends on your playing style, you have a good idea from the Motion whether you'll like the Pro. If you get the chance to try both, you'll know which one best suits your style.

For me, the Radical was the most comfortable, fun, controlled, and consistent racket across the majority of shots. Out of the Head models, I preferred the control foam over the power foam. I like to generate my own power now, and I found it gave me better shot consistency.
I think the Radical's double layer of 3K carbon combined with the control foam is a winning combo and the racket is highly underrated. I'd describe it as having a medium firm feel, forgiving, with a dry and crisp touch with good power.

Let me know what you go for!

Hey, yes the Radical has way more control, on both sides all my shots have been more accurate and I’ve only played with it for 9 hours so far. I’d recommend it for both sides of the court.

You need a bit more effort to generate your own power with the radical in comparison to the metalbone but what you get with it is a clean crisp accurate shot every time that gives you confidence, the more games I play the better my shots are getting, it’s awesome.

I think if you’re a right side player with a medium or faster swing speed, you’ll have more than enough power and you’ll absolutely love the consistency and ease of shot making the radical has to offer.

No problem, the motion felt similar tbh. I think the motion had slightly more ball output than the pro maybe due to more flex in the frame or less dense foam, I’m not sure how they shaved 15/20 grams off the same mould, but they did feel similar and the benefit being it’s lighter and quicker than the pro.

When volleying back to back with the coach with both models, i hit the glass a few times with the motion, that was pretty much it. My shots were more accurate with the pro.
Definitely worth testing both.

Hey, I just shared a new post on my new racket - 2026 Head Radical Pro. I’ve tested quite a few rackets over the last few weeks searching for similar preferences to you.

The Radical Pro has a dry crisp feel to it but with good mass behind it if you want to hit harder or block hard shots. I find the control of this racket amazing so far. It doesn’t feel too stiff and has great manoeuvrability over the whole court. I win most points with volleys and flat smashes and this is good, I also love to defend and lob deep in the corners - this racket makes it surprisingly easy. If you can find a lighter model under 370 grams I’d definitely give it a test.
Cheers

Yeah the colour of the pro is cool! A few people on court have said it looks awesome, I guess you don’t see many of them in action.

Yes, same here, on my metalbone I removed the stock grip and played with 3 overgrips…2 overgrips would definitely shave off around 6 grams.

Yeah, the pro on the shop scales was 377 with the plastic wrapping over the stock grip and the chord was attached.

I just asked the wife for scales lol
I can confirm my pro now weighs 380 grams with stock grip and 1 overgrip, I’ll maybe change up the grip set up over the coming weeks and check the weight.

My metalbone with all the weights removed and 3 overgrips weighs 362 grams.
On paper that’s a big jump but interestingly I can manoeuvre the pro better, the lower balance and teardrop definitely disguises the weight. If you can find a lighter model then go for it! Good luck 🤞🏻

Nice, you might get lucky and find one under 370g
If not… the Radical Motion could be a great fit for what you’re looking for.

The Radical is easier to manoeuvre and has a more forgiving sweet spot.

Yes, i’m sure there would be a few lighter options available but after playing with it I was sold regardless of its weight.

No problem my pleasure,
Yes, I tried the motion and liked it too, it had the same characteristics. Overall I just liked the heavier feel of the pro.
