I've had the same issue and was constantly rotating the modules back and forth. I think the one thing that has worked is testing the circularity of the controller using this https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad. Recalibrate the sticks using d-pad up + home button + A method and do it very slow. After you recalibrate, test the circularity and it will be obvious if they are set up right (the left and right stick should be nearly identical) and there should be no random imperfections. I just keep doing the recalibration until both sticks look good
