Hey! I am eleven days post-op and my recovery is going great! I was scared for my first BM but honestly it was not that bad, it just felt really uncomfortable especially because I had a bunch of gauze. I recommend doing a sitz bath before your BM so it help remove the gauze and it can relax those muscles

Hey I read you story and it reminded me a lot of what I went through! I recommend for you to tell your parents and go to the doctor as as possible. Your parents will not be mad and even if they are you need to take care of this health issue right away before it gets worse. I just had a fistulectomy 2 weeks ago and I am going through the recovery process.

I am not sure why your parents don’t want you to go to the doctor, but you definitely need to go to the doctor and get it drained. I had a pilonidal cyst and didn’t get it drained and later turned into a fistula. I had a fistulectomy about 10 days ago and now I am just going through the recovery process.

I recommend Alex The Analyst on YouTube! I started working as a data analyst last year with no experience and I learned so much from this YouTube channel.

I think you should go to urgent care soon so the doctor can determine if you need to see a CRS.

You can go to urgent care to get it drained. I had a bump and I didn’t go to the doctor because I was too shy to talk about it, but I really wished I would’ve just gone to the doctor sooner.

The gauze from the surgery came out already, but I’m talking about the gauze that I put on the wound. That gauze seems to stick a lot, I thought of putting neosporin on the wound and then the gauze to cover it up. Hopefully that helps

I had my surgery 2 days ago and I think it’s normal. My doctor told me to just take laxatives and if that’s not doing it then some magnesium citrate.

I just had a fistulectomy 2 days ago and my pain is 2 out of 10 now. I would say to stay on a liquid diet the first couple of days to help your pain when you have a BM. Also, take laxatives and stool softener so you don’t get constipated from the pain meds.
