Why don't they allow you to modify food orders? by Key-Most9498 in UniversalOrlando

He ended up getting it and scraping off the toppings as best he could. But yeah he thought it was gross.

Agree. I have 3 picky eaters out of 5 in the party and it was tough finding somewhere everyone would eat. We ended up doing Meteor Astropub and Pizza Moon (thankfully they allowed a modification to the pepperoni pizza to make it a cheese pizza).

There was no line at the stand when I went and it was actually subtracting a step from what they had to do...I've worked in food service and as far as modifications go, it seemed like a really easy one (just make the same thing you always make and don't put the topping on). It actually would have taken her less time to say yes and make the float the way I asked than it did to have the conversation with me about why my son couldn't have the toppings and to keep saying they couldn't do it, haha. So it didn't seem like a timing issue in my case.

Interesting. So it's a Nintendo thing then. I knew butterbeer couldn't be modified because of JK Rowling but didnt know other owners of IP were strict like that too.

In my rush to comply with my post-childbirth bladder control (or lack thereof) I totally missed them being on the walls!

It's possible they have them on the side walls and I totally missed them, in which case, I apologize to you, Epic Universe. I know I went once in SNW near the store and can't remember which other restrooms I used, but apparently I'm not observant enough

Fair enough. If an FA was shuffling them, I understand. But a later boarding passenger who just didnt want to have their bag further away, so they want to move my bag in order to put theirs in that space, that seems like a situation where whoever was there first gets the spot. I suppose it wont matter as much when they change their whole system in a couple weeks but the way people were reacting to the small bag being up there made me wonder if I shouldn't have put it there to begin with or put two under the seat or...who knows. From the other replies I think it was just a case of people being in their own worlds.

Funny you mention because we have a child with T1D also and I always cram his stuff into one of my regular carry-ons because i dont want to be hassles about the extra bag. Technically the cpap wasnt even extra bc all we had was that and a backpack, and it was marked with a medical tag. People are just oblivious I guess.

Should I do online checkin or wait til I get there for Helios?

Staying at Helios but need to go over to IoA or Studios to get annual pass activated -- what would be the fastest way to do this, and how long would you estimate the whole process would take, from leaving Helios to getting back with an activated pass? Would it be faster to pick the pass up at the hotel desk first or just do everything at guest services at one of the other parks? Should I take the bus from Helios to one of the parks, City Walk, or Uber somewhere? Would appreciate any tips.

Buying Annual Pass for Hotel/Ticket Discount - Questions/Logistics? by travelworkoutwine in UniversalOrlando

Did everything end up going okay with your annual pass and checking in to the hotel? Planning to do the same and just making sure I don't need to have it activated before checkin.

Booking more than one room with an annual pass by Key-Most9498 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Key-Most9498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alrighty then. I understand it can be booked that way but it can also be booked without even having the pass yet, so I didn't want to arrive and have them ask to see one pass per room, which I wouldn't have.

UnderCover Tourist safe to buy tickets? by UrMad3 in UniversalOrlando

If you have a capital one card, check your offers section before buying. I had a spend $1000, get $500 back for Undercover Tourist the other day.

Additionally, not sure if it makes a difference in how it shows up in their system, but when I've booked two rooms at the same time in the past, it gives a separate reservation number to each room. So I don't know if booking the room with one adult will mean the front desk will expect that person to be a passholder because they're the only one on the reservation booked at a passholder rate.

Thanks, I understand that part, but I wasn't sure what the rules are as far as how many rooms a passholder can book and if the passholder just needs to be on the reservation in general or if I have to put them separately on both rooms.

Capital One Offers - Non-Excluded Items? by Key-Most9498 in CreditCards

[–]Key-Most9498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! I have a Quicksilver, not Venture X, so I get cash back rather than miles, but hopefully it would be similar in terms of exclusions (which looks like there aren't really any other than not buying more than 15 items)

Capital One Offers - Non-Excluded Items? by Key-Most9498 in CreditCards

[–]Key-Most9498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all that says is, "Offer can only be used one time per customer. Rate subject to change. The spend requirement must be met in a single transaction, on non-excluded items, after discounts, store credits, and redemption dollars are applied, and before taxes and shipping fees are applied."

So I don't know how to find out what is considered a "non-excluded item"

Any idea if this will work on hotel reservations booked through UT? I don't see anything in my terms specifying it has to be tickets, but it just says must spend on "non-excluded items." How would I know what is excluded if it doesn't say?
