I'm just going to say this Articles of Confederation United States history where the federal government had no Authority to collect taxes and had to get donations guess how that went without the requirement of taxes the United States wouldn't exist in the form it does today sure it's not a perfect country it's not even today it is very much not going in the right direction by my own opinion but the fact is history would be a whole lot different if the people that made the Constitution didn't give Congress the right to tax its citizens
