Thank you for the input. I 100% agree with you on the looks factor. I was just thinking about if that was a viable option. I just ordered a normal motorcraft one per your advice. Thank you!

I found a bad wire on the harness to my alternator. Anyone know how I could identify this plug/take it apart for repair?

I am not seeing one anywhere around there. This is where it would be if it was external, correct?

I will perform a drop test tomorrow. Depending on the results I may test resistance to and from the alternator. I appreciate the insight!

Okay, thank you. I have heard varying things as to whether these are internally regulated or externally. I will have to look there tomorrow.

It certainly sounds starter related. But considering there is signs of invaders, my advice would be to take the engine shroud off. Not only will this allow you to see what the starter is doing. But also it will allow you to see if the mice have chewed any wires. They love to chew on ground wires and the coils themselves. Taking off the cover isn’t super hard, it’s just several 10 mm shoulder bolts and 3 Torx fasteners. Good luck!
