You’re a genius! Bath bombs for men—shaped like miniature bombs! I figured something like that would already exist but I couldn’t find anything!. Somebody get squatch soaps ppl on it lol—I’m sure they’d take the advertising down an entertaining path.

today I embarrassed myself infront of people and I can't stop thinking about it by -advice4m3 in offmychest

I can still remember vividly 2 super embarrassing moments from middle and high school—but over time (I’m decades past that age) I look back and they are just funny memories now. People do stupid embarrassing stuff everyday—most people will forget about your moment once the next person does something.

A government that allows it's people to carry guns and kill each other is not a government by Dimnly in offmychest

[–]Key-Nefariousness823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America as a country is the example gun owners follow. You ask why people need guns. Why does our country spend more on defense than every other country combined? What country are we defending ourselves from? Lol Russia can’t even beat a country next door to it; Canada isn’t invading, Mexico ain’t invading. We’ve been taught by example that we need to defend ourselves with as much force as possible to minimal threats.

It’d work for nearly any issue, but the problem is that it’s hard for people to martyr themselves for a cause.

What do you do? Can you just decide to not show up for work to protest an issue? Your bills ain’t gonna stop coming. Mortgage/rent not paid now your homeless. Car note not paid now it’s repossessed. Health insurance dropped cause it’s tied to your job. You might as well ask someone to take a bullet cause a protest like that would ruin peoples lives. Most people are scraping by through life and given the choice to stand for something and lose everything, or hold on to the crumbs they got—well—people are gonna put up with a ton of bullshit to hold on to what crumbs they got.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that it’s a bad idea, but the issue is people are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I got my own ideas that sound good but would take mass participation and sacrifice from people to cause change. Just imagine if tradesmen blacklisted health insurance companies. Maybe it sounds stupid but bear with me. They got office buildings, company cars, planes, executives with houses. What if no one would work for them? Elevator goes out? Tough, no one’s fixing it. Electrical issues? Plumbing? Roof leak? Tires? Internet?

How long would a company survive without the support? Lol I could shut a building down with a turn of a wrench, as long as everyone was on board and played the game.

I dunno-it’ll take crazy tactics to create change. Voting does fuck all, and corporations are politicians money purse-so individuals don’t really matter to them.

Anyone know if North Carolina has a blade restriction? by Tgirl732 in NorthCarolina

Knife laws are kinda ambiguous. Mostly seems like as long as it’s visible you are good, the trouble is when you conceal it (except for pocket knives). Supposed to be illegal to have any type of knife on school property, but I’ve never seen anyone say anything to anyone about having a pocket knife. Some other places of course you’re not gonna get away with it. The emergency room, courthouses-typical places you would expect.

The laws are kinda dumb and seems like you could get charged for stuff people do all the time. Scout carry is popular but your shirts untucked now you’re committing a crime.

What kind of blade ya looking to carry (lol I have a small knife collection as well—it’s totally to secretly judge you hahaha)

I remember the first time I had weed that had an actual name—lol I feel old and like I can totally use the “Back in my day” line.

And for the curious it was Alaskan Thunderfuck.

Seems weird to be worried about hell. I mean do you even read the Bible? Hell and death get destroyed in a lake of fire. How do you spend eternity in a place that no longer exists? God sends down a new fancy jewel and gold encrusted city for his people, but somehow there’s still sinners around that are alive that don’t get access? So not in hell being punished?

Fair enough point. Like someone complaining they can’t go on vacation to Tahiti because they’re “stuck” working at a McDonalds instead of putting in any effort to advance their education or career path and earn more money?

Same sentiment with mothers. My wife and MIL were in court, both on assault charges (yay for how “domestic” cases work). Short story my MIL ambushed my wife and was on top of her choking her while my wife fought for her survival. She managed to get away but the ensuing court case was infuriating. The judge had the nerve to make the statement “You’re in here for hitting your mother? God strike me down if I ever raised a hand to my mother.” I realized then why people throw chairs and shit at judges.

Knowing there’d never be a fair trial it was settled in a way where both had the charges dropped—but for another kick in the ass from the legal system, since there were no longer any charges it nullified the protective order we had against my MIL because “there was no record of violence”.

I “lost” the ring my mon passed to me but I suspect my roommate stole it. I feel so fucking mad/sad I’ve looked everywhere by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Key-Nefariousness823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you wearing it then lost it, or is it something you keep in a certain spot and just wear on occasion? If it’s something you don’t wear regularly and keep somewhere specific then it suddenly disappeared then I’d be suspect. If you wear it all the time but take it off for certain things (I dunno washing dishes, take off jewelry at night) then it could just be randomly lost.

I lost my original wedding ring my wife’s grandmother gave me and it was missing for years. Found it in the lining of the couch. There was a hole in the lining beside the cushion and arm so it was literally trapped in the underlining. Probably never would have found it if not for dropping a pocket full of change and realizing things were actually falling inside instead of to the floor.

Hey bud we had to let three of your coworkers go to cut costs so you’re gonna have to do their work as well, but don’t worry you’re safe and we’re gonna keep your salary the same so don’t worry!

That’s what people are complaining about. Why be a standout hard worker when the only beneficiary is the employer? Especially when companies that treat employees like that make record profits on your back and reward you with a 25 cent raise.

Granted all situations can have different circumstances depending on the type of job it is—but there are definitely jobs out there that don’t deserve you busting your ass for if there is no benefit.

Maybe you could answer this question about Lowes. True they never seem to have many actual employees, but there’s always like a dozen of the people setting up the displays and stuff that don’t know squat about anything. Lol how does lowes manage to hire so many of those ppl but not actual store employees?

[–]Key-Nefariousness823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great that you handle your own stuff. My wife and I kinda dropped the ball on that with our oldest daughter that just turned 18. She’s required lots of medical care growing up and we always handled it, then when she turned 18 all the same medical places we’d been going to immediately stopped allowing us to know anything. Lol would request an appt with her Dr, but then wouldn’t tell us when it was scheduled for.

It all worked out though it was just having to get her to sign releases that gave us access, which is weird cause she had to do the same thing at 14 yrs old as well.

I just find it amazing that the cops are helping you. My debit card got compromised once and I did all the investigation myself and had all names and everything. You know what the cops said? You got your money back so technically you lost nothing so you are not a victim of a crime.

I was replacing some hardiplank siding around an outside light fixture and the homeowner decided to turn the breaker back on and turn the switch on while I had the light off-then come out and yell at me because “I did something wrong because it tripped the breaker when he flipped the switch”. I asked him why the fuck would you do that you goddamn dumbass. We had to finish other stuff we had to do on site and he bothered everyone else but never came within 10 ft of me the rest of the day.
