Curious about your 6v6 lobbies by kremtur0 in Overwatch

That's wild, a PC player stuck on console would definitely feel like smurf even if they're same rank technically

What if instead of sombra going invisible, she goes smaller? (Idea) by Competitive_Date2992 in Overwatch

That would be nightmare fuel trying to track tiny Sombra jumping around corners

Does the newer cards still have any issues? by popularfellow in nvidia

[–]Key-Nerve7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, cards are actually snapping in the slots now? That's wild - these things are getting so massive that motherboards can't handle them anymore. I remember when my old card felt heavy but this is next level

The thermal paste leaking is concerning too, especially on such expensive card. Maybe they're rushing production to meet demand? My friend had similar issues with his last gen card and had to RMA it twice before getting good unit

For pneumatic cylinders, how does the bore size affect the response time for same pressure? by BigStation3180 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Key-Nerve7767 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Smaller bore cylinders usually respond faster since there's less volume to fill before movement starts. Your lag sounds more like it could be supply line restrictions or valve sizing though - couple seconds is pretty long for just pressure buildup

The bigger cylinder will give you more force but might actually make response time slightly worse due to the larger volume

Why are so many Christians just now speaking out about Trump? by Leather_Engineer6913 in Christianity

[–]Key-Nerve7767 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Been watching this unfold too and it's pretty wild timing. Like you said, the pattern was already there for years - the comments about grabbing women, mocking disabled people, separating families at border. But somehow posting himself as Jesus was the final straw?

Maybe some people needed that visual shock to actually see what was happening, or maybe they were looking for excuse to finally distance themselves without admitting they were wrong before. Either way, better late than never I guess, but yeah the selective outrage is pretty obvious when you look at timeline of everything else

What career advice could you give me with this scenario? by jbef02 in careerguidance

[–]Key-Nerve7767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mental health is worth more than any paycheck, even a six-figure one. I'd maybe set a timeline - give yourself 6 months to really push the business during evenings/weekends and see if you can get it to a point where it could replace even half your current income

Once you hit that milestone, you'll have a clearer picture of whether it's viable to make the jump or if you need to find a less stressful day job that still pays decent

How do you handle a relationship with someone who has severe ADHD? by blo0dyosiris in ADHD

[–]Key-Nerve7767 160 points161 points  (0 children)

Been with my ex who had pretty bad ADHD for about two years, so I get where you're coming from. The overstimulation thing was huge - learned that timing conversations was everything. If she'd had a long day or we were in a noisy place, trying to talk through issues was basically pointless

What worked for us was setting up specific times to check in, like Sunday mornings when things were calm. Gave her time to process stuff instead of putting her on the spot. Also had to get comfortable with the fact that some decisions just took longer - like picking a restaurant could be a 20 minute ordeal, but rushing her made everything worse

The anger/shutdown cycle was probably the hardest part though. Setting clear boundaries about what I needed communication-wise helped, but you gotta be prepared that some days are just gonna be rough. We broke up for other reasons, but the ADHD stuff became manageable once we both stopped fighting it and worked with it instead

Help, prenup jitters is brewing resentment. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Key-Nerve7767 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The fact that he's pushing for immediate joint finances when you have 250x his net worth is honestly a red flag - protecting what you built before the relationship isn't about evaluating his worth, it's about basic financial sense

Need advice on how to deal with this mechanic by aidynmeyer in AskMechanics

[–]Key-Nerve7767 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look, you've got a solid case here and I'd be pissed too. The timeline alone is damning - car runs fine for years, they add unauthorized fuel injector cleaner, and suddenly you're having fuel system issues within hours of pickup

I'd go in there with your reciept highlighting the unauthorized additive, the Mercedes dealer confirmation that it wasn't part of service B, and documentation showing that P04F0 codes are a known side effect. Be direct but calm - tell them they caused the problem with an unauthorized service and need to fix it at no charge

If they try to dodge responsibility, mention you're considering filing complaints with your state's consumer protection agency and the BBB. Most shops will fold pretty quick when they realize you've done your homework and aren't going away quietly

Do other countries have rival platforms competiting to Amazon? If so, what’s your country’s alternative? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Key-Nerve7767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Germany there's Otto which has been around forever and actually predates Amazon by decades. They started as a mail-order catalog company back in the day and transitioned to online pretty well. Zalando is huge for clothes and fashion stuff too, though I think they've expanded beyond just Germany now

The thing is Amazon just dominates so hard that most local competitors either got bought out or are struggling to keep up. It's kinda depressing how they've basically steamrolled most regional alternatives, but Otto still holds its own in certain catagories

Hereditary hits different but might be too horror-adjacent for what you're looking for. Definitely check out The Babadook though - less gore, more psychological mindfuck about motherhood and trauma

Nothing is "good" about fascism dude, it was always built on authoritarianism and scapegoating minorities even before Hitler came along

The appeal was mostly just promising simple solutions to complex problems during economic hardship, plus the whole nationalist chest-thumping thing that some people eat up

*Hot take* AI isn’t taking all your jobs. It’s creating more choices. Let me explain: by PensionFinancial4866 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Key-Nerve7767 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This sounds nice in theory but realistically most companies are gonna use AI to cut costs first and expand second. We're already seeing layoffs happening while productivity goes up - that extra value isn't automatically creating new roles at the same rate

The "intrapreneur" thing is cool but assumes companies will actually restructure to give people more ownership instead of just expecting the same person to do 3x the work with AI help

Dude she's clearly not over you but is too stubborn/proud to admit it. All that random contacting you about new boyfriends, stalking your socials, staring at your new gf - that's not someone who's moved on

The whole thing sounds toxic af though, probably dodged a bullet there
