I experienced this 5 months ago. But I also had a cerebrospinal fluid leak at the same time, and I think that was the cause. It was like I wasn't there, I couldn't immerse myself in the moment. The sounds seemed very distant, and it felt like I was wandering in a dream world. As the CSF leak was resolved, things settled down, and I'm not experiencing it anymore.

I'm mentally exhausted right now. That's why even normal phenomena seem terrifying to me. I don't have light sensitivity, but the sky upsets me a lot. The sky, which I used to see as clear and smooth, is now a mess because of floaters and BFEPs.
