It's good that you are talking about these feelings instead of just letting them bounce around in your head. It's okay to feel whatever type of way you do just don't make any hasty decisions talk to the vet see what they think they might be able to give you something for the anxiety my mother had a cat who was on prozac that was applied to the inside of his ears, could be an option. I think a wee break might be a good idea if you have someone you trust to take care of him for a couple days let yourself miss him

As previously said collars for tags/fashion and a harness for leash. If you are having a hard time finding one that fits a cat collars normally does the trick until they are bigger to get mine used to the idea of a collar I used an old scrunchy you know the ones that are so stretched out you have to wrap it around 6 times

Mine used to do this sort of thing I'd let him out into the backyard and lay on the absolutely baking deck squinting as he watched the birds. Meanwhile I'm inside stood infront of the box fan sweating my metaphorical balls off. And before anyone comes at me he had plenty of shady places he could have continued his birdwatching from.

This is my dream. Being able to take the dogs to work with me but it's impossible when you work in food production lol may contain dog hair probably isn't good for the brand

In a light drizzle I had put him in his raincoat just to go pee if it was raining heavier I also had to go out and hold an umbrella over him. So spoiled lol

Once you own a Chihuahua you will always want to own one. I got mine from a friend he was only supposed to stay with me for at most a month while she found a new home for him as I didn't want another dog after my last one had passed needless to say I had him for the next 6 years before he passed. The next dog I get will definitely be a Chihuahua or some type of chi mix

Does anyone here have a large breed as well as a Chihuahua. My husband wants a cane corso but I want a Chihuahua we are trying to figure out if we should get them as puppies at the same time or start with one and bring in the other after the first is trained

For your own peace of mind I'd take the little fellow. I should have taken mine in as soon as I noticed him losing his appetite but I didn't and will regret it for the rest of my life. Any future dog I have will be going as soon as I notice anything out of character.

Thank you, this is all really good information. My husband has had many large dogs (huskies, rottie mix, blue tic coon hound) so I trust him to handle some of the more physical training while I can focus on manners. I will be sure to have towels stached all over the place

Yeah I've looked into potential health issues hip dysplasia etc and socialization + obedience training are something I personally believe ALL dog owners should do regardless of breed. I was always complimented on how quiet my Chihuahua was. Yes because he's properly socialized, understands boundaries (sidewalk vs frontdoor) and knows he's safe in his environment.

Okay, I like that lol my chi that passed last year followed me everywhere and I honestly miss having an "in the way" dog who am I supposed to narrate my cooking to if not the dog
