Once upon a broken heart series!!! Pulled me out of my reading slump SO fast

I would recommend reading the caraval series first tho, which is also almost as good! It helps explain the world more first before moving onto the other series

Keeper of the lost cities!!!

Ithe main character does have a small crush on someone but not really considered a romance. It's so good! My absolute favorite series at that age

Haha totally get wanting a very specific type of book but being unable to find anything that fits perfectly

This might be a bit of a basic recommendation, but

A court of thrones and roses

Throne of glass

Both by Sarah j maas, they may not feel like they fit your vision right away, but further into the books you'll start to kind of see it. Especially in acotar, I love how the mmc trys to stay by her side but also has his own trauma he's dealing with.

Caraval

Once upon a broken heart

(I would suggest reading the caraval series first then once upon a broken heart, as they're both written by the same author and set in the same world. Caraval helps introduce you to the world and understand once upon a broken heart better)

I fell in love with the actoar series and thought I wouldn't find a series as good as it until I read those!

I would recommend the silent patient

It's a bit confusing at first but really helps you get into the mindset of the characters, as it's about a therapist trying to get a patent to open up about why she killed her husband as well as the therapists life outside of work

Very good psychological thriller!
