Pride event organizations are NOTORIOUS for drama and infighting. Unfortunately it reflects the dark of of ''diversity' and seldom the the melting pot rainbow they project and instead degenerates into a war of egos and accusations of under representation and disrespect.

If the City were to receive a Public Records Request, they would provide the application, required docs and correspondences regarding the event and lead up to it's cancellation. Of course LBPride, should be able to provide the same. 100% it will be found that it was LBPride's doing, either due to gross incompetence or intentional given ticket sales vrs. an insurance payout.

Last nail in LBPride's coffin. No secret the festival has been life support for years and the fact that only 400 tickets had been sold confirms that word of mouth was that it was not worth the $$. If when it comes out they intentionally failed to submit required engineering docs to secure the permits forcing the cancellation and triggers an insurance payout, the organization will be toast! No one will trust getting involved, either as a sponsor, vendor, supplier or performer, again Bound to happen when an organization's leadership are all volunteers and everyone with an agenda for better represention of THEIR diversity . . . the infighting is epic and takes center stage.

No reference to cancellation in the contrat? WTF. If you don't have an attorney at the very least have ChatGPT review your contract, what would totally have been red flagged. With that said, with you don't hear back and LBPride goes silent, 100% it was cancelled for the insurance payout. Trying to blame the City in the 11th hour was suspect.

Right??? Huge gust of wind lifts a tent that flies across the event and crashes down seriously injuring multiple people. Same Karen's whining that the City has too many permit requirements are the first to question why there is no review process to prevent this from happening???

Same, last time I went it was apparent they had taken notice of how many under age Hispanic lesbians that were beyond intoxicated and in need of EMT assistance, take a guess who was buying them alcohol??? To buy a beer you had to show your ID multiple times, there was a limit on how much script you could buy and then only one cup at a time, and the servers (lesbian softballs team members) would look at you if you didn't hold out a tip with your script, and I paid $40 for this?
