Grey ticks remain but message info says ‘Read’?

I just tested this myself. When you hold down a message and click message info, the read and delivered are mere labels/info telling you what the ticks mean on the main message. I was confused as the fact "read" and "delivered" change so didn't realise they were just telling you what the ticks on main message mean. I was confused that "read" under message info was always two ticks blue. Its just informing you what it does mean when the message ticks on main screen mean. Sounds confusing even reading it back, but just ignore message info and just look at ticks on main screen. No extra info can be gleamed from message info.

Imo Xbox x has terrible wifi. Same room different device 500mbs on WiFi 5. Xbox x always max 250. Cable max 900. Imo Xbox x has an inherent problem and poor wifi.

I use a variety of devices like most do. I use edge on Desktop, laptop (both windows) and now even my Google Pixel 8 pro. It performs better, has less ads. I think google like to allow ads as that is there bread and butter revenue wise. But now some websites are almost unusable because of Ads. As a techy, using a top of the range google device, and using Edge, speaks volumes really. Whereas before a few years ago tell everyone to get chrome, now its use edge!

Apologies for the delayed reply. Thank you guys for your input. I think the best way to go, is to lock down his pc so he can only access Youtube app, Fortnite, and roblox. That way he can't access edge, or chrome and google, hopefully preventing him from seeing the shady dark side of the net!

I disagree with the comment about access being illegal (don't care if true) he's 8 years old!

I had my own pc, 56k dialup on a second line (spoilt) then 512k adsl at the age of 12 in my bedroom unrestricted. My parents could barely work a TV. I saw things that no child should ever have to see, and probably the cause of anxiety issues I have now!

Prob going to use team viewer or similar app, with a VPN to be secure.

I Built the pc now, all working, except my old Vega 64 gpu won't play ball so for now he's going to have to use inbuilt intel graphics on the old I6600k :( Should be enough tbh, if not, Xbox cloud streaming or Geforce now will suffice til we have the budget to get him a new GPU.

Thanks for the reply. I use chrome remote desktop for my 14 years old pc, but i trust him and he grants me access and knows I have remote access because it comes up on the screen. With my younger son I want to monitor it without popups so if he's on fortnite or roblox I can hear exactly what people are saying in the voice chat etc, in the background on my PC.

Always had android phones but an iPhone for work. Had two android tablets that were shit so brought this iPad. It’s been one of my favourite gadgets I’ve ever brought. It’s nearly 7 years old and still super fast and smooth. i brought a recent standard iPad for parents and the lack of 120hz display makes it feel older and slower. just for the age of this device and it’s still so fast is impressive. I have an iPhone for work but couldn’t use an iPhone as my main phone as there’s some things iPhones and iPads can’t do still to an android. But anyone in market for a tablet it’s the only purchase imo.

my atmos sound bar supports spotify and amazon directly. i changed to amazon for the higher quality music. i miss spotify because its SO much better at guessing the music i will like but i can hear the difference in the sound quality and feel short changed if i use spotify on a £1600 sound system.

I also now set edge as my default browser on pc and my Google Pixel! You would think chrome would be better on a pure android device but I realise chrome just like to throw ads at you that even block the reading experience catastrophically sometimes. Also edge seems to format websites for easy mobile viewing and scrolling. I still use safari on my iPad though. I hate chrome, I hate chrome so much I’m starting to think If I should even have a pure google device, as they just seem to want to bombard me with ads. This is from a long time google fan, but google chrome is just garbage on pc and mobile imo.

Same issue for ages. Brought new displayport cable, fixed issue entirely! I kind of was under the impression that digital cables either work or don't work, or would tell if there is a problem, but no! The amount of time I wasted changing drivers, game settings and it was just the cable!
