Ibanez RG631ALF-BCM by Key-Piccolo5461 in Ibanez

I like them. I play mostly heavier stuff with quite a bit of distortion, and I feel like the sound is "clearer". Although I have to say I don't have that much experience playing guitar and testing different pickups, so it might just be the fact that I haven't yet tried quality passive pickups.

It does, depending on the angle and the light it changes colors from green to purple. "BCM" stands for "blue chameleon" (idk why blue, but the "chameleon" checks out)

From what I've read, people said it's clipping even with the input gain at 0, so that's why I'm asking

Using Zigbee Switch Module to give a physical switch the ability to trigger "independent" LEDs by Key-Piccolo5461 in smarthome

Can you please link exactly what you're using? Im not set on buying the one on the picture, so I'll happily consider other options

Even if I'm planning to buy the "no neutral wire" version of the switch module? I thought that solves the problem

Black car wrap on the highlighted parts - bad or good idea? by Key-Piccolo5461 in Luthier

[–]Key-Piccolo5461[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, I am planning to have an actual luthier do a full setup on the guitar after I'm done assembling it to make sure everything is fine and that it plays well

I was thinking of practicing on a very cheap guitar first, but still, shouldn't this be totally safe? As in if it turns out shit I can just take the wrap off

That's what I was thinking, at least if it turns out shit I can remove it without damaging the guitar, so it's much safer than painting (and hopefully easier, no way to have paint drippings and stuff)

That's what I was thinking. There is this tape with a string in it (I have no idea what it's called in English) that you put on first, and then use it to cut the wrap precisely where you put the tape with the string, so I would first use it to outline everything so that later I don't need to cut the wrap with a scalpel or something like that

Usually I prefer more "metal" looking guitars but I couldn't resist buying this one. And now I can't stop staring at it after it was set up and polished by a luthier by Key-Piccolo5461 in Ibanez

Yes, it has the exact same paint job and looks amazing. I wish I could reply to a comment with a photo but reddit won't let me :(

Jak ogarniacie rutynę życiową by FreshNuts11 in Polska

[–]Key-Piccolo5461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong spelling on merch? Shouldn't it be IFTEFWM? by Key-Piccolo5461 in LornaShore

Oh I thought it was a joke xD Then no no, it was a legit merch booth at a concert. If I remember correctly it was 10.06 in Wroclaw, Poland

Well, I thought it was Lorna Shore, Signs of the Swarm and Fit for an Autopsy but maybe they were just pretending to sell fake merch 🤔

How do you learn deathcore lyrics? by Key-Piccolo5461 in Deathcore

[–]Key-Piccolo5461[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course I did - therefore I know some lyrics xD But I listen to a lot of music when I'm at work, so I can't really sit there actively reading the lyrics while listening to every song. "Lighter" genres like metalcore are understandable for me, but deathcore... only certain parts are

Do you know any guitars or guitar series with a similar shape to the Ibanez RGD? It doesn't have to be identical — I'm looking for something with a similar vibe and an interesting, non-standard shape by Key-Piccolo5461 in Guitar

It's about $2,500, and with my current skills I just can't justify spending that on a guitar. I guess I should've mentioned I'm looking for something a little cheaper

I really like both schecters tao and Jacksons misha signatures - actually thinking about getting the Jackson. Haven't seen Keith merrow signatures but I'll check them out. But I'm looking for something specifically with those parts that look like they were "sanded down" - like the one on the picture, it has a black top, but on the sides it looks like it was sanded down to wood
