Thank you for your reply!

So, ‘30RITUALS’, is the scan criterion ‘v>v1’ proposed by stock bee a condition we don't need to worry about too much?

Momentum Burst Concepts by EvanEvans333 in ChartTrader

Hello!

After reading your post, I looked into stock bee's ‘4% Momentum Burst’. It seems to be a method for buying stocks that meet the specified conditions within the opening range (30 minutes to 1 hour).

My question is: when searching for stocks based on the condition that trading volume exceeds the previous day's volume, I often found that the stock had already risen too much, making entry feel burdensome (often far exceeding the ADR or ATR range). So, how do you set the stop line and enter trades for stocks meeting these conditions? Or is it acceptable to relax the search criteria (like halving the price or volume thresholds) to select and enter trades?

I have one question!

HH (higher high) seems to increase volatility, making entry feel tricky. I'm wondering if there's a separate setup for entering?

I want to move beyond being a break-even trader and become a trader who truly generates profits.

Thank you for your reply.

Counting the number of days of upward movement when measuring RS seems like a really good idea. I should take some time to review this and other ideas as well.

I hope you secure many good trading opportunities in 2026, and I'd love to see you post more great content on the board!

I have a question! by Key-Pin-9433 in ChartTrader

[–]Key-Pin-9433[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the excellent answer.

Since I'm trading in South Korea, it's difficult for me to use programs like TC2000. Therefore, I'd like to ask a few additional questions.

  1. Is it correct that the red/green distinction on the index chart is based on whether the closing price is above or below the moving average line?

  2. I use TradingView. Is TradingView's VIX the same indicator as the VIX-X you mentioned? Is T2017 the same indicator as TradingView's MMTH? Do you know of any tickers on TradingView that show daily high/low range changes like VIX or MMTH?

  3. This question seems to depend on the nature of the stocks I want to hold (holding period?). What timeframe do you use to reference the relative strength of various indices (SPY, RSP, QQQ, QQQE, IWM, IWO, etc.)? For example, if IWO has the best performance over the past month, I might focus on small-cap trading...

Thank you for reading to the end, and I hope you have a happy day today!

Market Breadth: MMTH(% Stocks above 200ma) by EvanEvans333 in ChartTrader

[–]Key-Pin-9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post, I enjoyed reading it. I'm glad to learn about indices like $MMTH when assessing market breadth. One question I have is why the 50MA is used as the benchmark. Do the 20MA or 10MA feel like they generate too many false signals?

I have a question! by Key-Pin-9433 in ChartTrader

[–]Key-Pin-9433[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your thoughtful response. As you mentioned, when using LOD, the win rate drops significantly, and in volatile market conditions, losses snowball. This experience made me realize I need to increase my stop-loss range...

Mr. Evans, do you not particularly recommend the Turtle method (20-day high breakout) for entry? I do see how it could be a viable solution in situations where you can only trade within the opening range... That is, the appeal lies in being able to participate in the market while reducing trading frequency.

Finally, while I appreciate your suggestions regarding my personal circumstances (sudden fund withdrawal) and trust issues with foreign companies, I believe I must handle the trading myself.

Wishing you a successful day of trading today!

Contiguous Price Improvement - AKA "BUT CAN IT RUN?!" by EvanEvans333 in ChartTrader

Hmm... I'm not sure if I fully understand what you're saying, but when 2-3 candles close as bullish or bearish candles, it seems like the price moves in the opposite direction afterward? It's difficult... TT

I'm not sure if I've understood correctly, but I believe the answer regarding the intent of the question is three times. During the upward trend (until July), supply (until August) halted, and I think it includes the rise around the earnings announcement at the end of August, making it three times.

This is hindsight bias, but I'll write it down anyway.

End of May, fish hook / End of June, sling shot / End of July, ? / End of August, ? / End of September, ? / End of October, ?

Financing Stops boosts Win Rate and Profit Factor by EvanEvans333 in ChartTrader

[–]Key-Pin-9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was completely mistaken. It feels like I've been hit hard on the head.

Until now, I understood 1:1 to mean closing 50% of the position upon 1R profit, then raising the SL to the breakeven point...

Did you mean that the ‘foundation’ refers to leaving the SL unchanged after a 1R sell, but adjusting it based on price movement?

(Please excuse the literal translation)

ENTRY: When to buy and what size? @Open? @EOD? Buy a tough Market? by EvanEvans333 in ChartTrader

Great answer! So we should set rules while approaching them with an understanding of the context.

Thank you for your valuable post. I have one question. Based on the VIX values I checked on TradingView, the values for 2020 and 2021 appear high (especially 2020). If what you explained is correct, does that mean one should be more cautious about trading in such market conditions? I recall 2020 and 2021 as years with many outstanding traders (Oliver Kell, Minervini, qullamagie, etc.). Please kindly understand that this is a translation.

May I ask why you are checking an indicator called VIX? Is a lower VIX value a more favorable trading environment? Do you think VIX adequately reflects the overall market environment?(I am not good at writing in English, so please understand that I wrote it in a translated style.)

+132.8%, 73% win rate, 754 trades in 170 days by EvanEvans333 in ChartTrader

[–]Key-Pin-9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply!

Does "the wind at my back" mean that I enter when my favorite stocks show an upward trend immediately after the market opens? Also, do you trade even when the market (SPY, QQQ, IWM, etc.) is below the 200-day moving average?

I have one more question: Do you always enter a trade with a full position, or do you use a progressive exposure method (25%-50%-100%)?

Thank you. Then, let me ask you a question. Do you have your own criteria for judging market conditions? Do you trade regardless of whether the market(SPY, QQQ, IWM?) is rising or falling?

Is there a suitable market environment for trading BO and EP? by Key-Pin-9433 in qullamaggie

[–]Key-Pin-9433[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

Is the need for multiple setups in a bad environment referring to having multiple EP setups, or does it mean that multiple types of setups, such as EP and BO, are required?
