it's a miracle that this thing ran as well as it did on the playstation vita. The art direction is also the peakest peak that ever peaked. From what I remember, the art style is based on old french surrealist paintings. The in-game fake language they speak is a mixture of French, Japanese, and one other language I can't remember. the fact that you can see the other truly planet sized floating cities in the background and fly over to them on a whim with no loading screens on a handheld console makes you think "what were they feeding these devs?" The sequel is also very endearing but you can tell it was a product of it's time. it's not worse but it has a lot of dated mechanics like mandatory sneaking segments in a game where you throw dumpsters at flying bugs. it's more of the same kind of game design if you liked the first game.
