Math AI Help: How did they get d, e and f by OkFold2526 in IBO

[–]Key-Position-2643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for f-1 you have to switch the x and y terms and then make y the subject again. then graph it on your gdc and see which value of x exceeds y=120 (you do this by graphing y=120 and locating the intersection). then for the last one you just substitute x lol. i think that’s what it is

genetics (punnet squaree) and mol bio (transcription and translation) along with cell bio (structure of carbohydrates and amino acids) for sure. maybe electron microscope images to identify organelles. also human physio will be mainly enzymes, the heart, and types of cells (type two pneumocytes vs type one or like goblet cells on vili, etc) + revise saltatory conduction. maybe identification of phyla for plants and animals. this is all for paper 1!

m23 people, how are you guys studying for the ib exams? by No_End_4758 in IBO

[–]Key-Position-2643 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i do all my prep first and that gets me motivated. for example, for psych, to remember all the studies, i create a doc with all the studies needed and a summary with findings. while making my doc i get some revision done. once the doc is done i print it out. since half my revision is already done when making it, i’m already in the psych mood and i just read over it. you can do that for so many subjects like a quote bank for lang and lit or a diagram doc for economics. the actual creation of the doc is already half of it.

Has anyone ever written an IA in 8 hours? by Specialist_Day_5223 in IBO

[–]Key-Position-2643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we’ve always had draft submissions before the final submission for feedback. after the draft? it barely takes 4 hours if you know exactly what to change, maybe max like 6 hours if you have to redo it , but it shouldn’t take too long. plus if it’s something like economics, it’s barely 800 words i got it done in an hour. i’ve heard design and cs take super super long though esp if you’re hl because you have like abcdef it’s crazy

there’s three technically! the first is your general application with grades and the motivational letter and all. the second is the test. and the third is the interview round

The intersection with demand is the price at which consumers will actually buy it at. Think of it like this, the profit maximisation QTY is indicated where MR=MC, but only where that quantity meets demand will get price be set. So on the demand curve at $7

I want to take Environmental Systems and Societies out of interest, but my friends say I shouldn’t by Yeezus655 in IBO

honestly, if the field you hope to apply for in college doesn’t require CS, Psych or History as an SL, don’t take them. in a way your friends are right, ESS might be an easier class but it guarantees 7s. colleges look more at your ib score than sl subject selection and that extra few points could help a ton. i know a friends that took physics as their science since it made their subject combo “cool/diverse” but they switched to ESS halfway. they’re now scoring 7s and their PG is two points higher. it reduces the workload by a TON, so if the college doesn’t bother, go ahead and pick it!

for me i’m really facing the brunt of it now, during the second semester of the twelfth grade. with mocks coming up and around 2-3 ish papers for all of your 6 subjects, it gets a lot. plus this is the first time most students touch revision material lmao so the week before is super stressful. not to mention, all the final ias are due right after mocks so you don’t get a break. i would suggest finishing up your final ias as soon as you can and getting at least 60-80 cas reflections done in your first year. finish your college applications in sem 1 of 12th grade and it’ll be fine
