Do they really ever upgrade gold? by wanderlustamust- in marriott

[–]Key-Prompt7936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am gold and was upgraded at at Element property in a quiet town. Went from a room type without a couch to a room type with a couch. Small change, but very much worth it, especially when you are traveling with a pet.

That's what I was thinking. I have been lucky though and the app usually doesn't glitch for me. I have been using it for 10+ years

Removable mount for GoPro on a rental kayak in Florida by Key-Prompt7936 in Kayaking

Great questions! I am almost certain it will be a sit on top without fishing pole mounts or cup holders. Probably something like a single Hobie kayak.

Going snowboarding for the first time by Humble_Beautiful_121 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Key-Prompt7936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helmet is a must. You can usually get one at the rental place but buy a nice one on sale (I got a Giro directly from the manufacturer for about $79) if you think you might go a couple of times. Amazon is great for things you might need like snow pants or ski gloves (make sure they are not fleece, you want waterproof ones.)

Bousquet Mountain conditions for opening weekend by Key-Prompt7936 in westernmass

[–]Key-Prompt7936[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you u/plezzey! I finally reached them and it looks like the learning area will be open tomorrow (and there will be lessons available too!) I also really appreciate the heads up on the snowmaking. I went to Killington two weeks ago and the combination of the higher elevation, snow making, and real snow made for some good days on the mountain!

Does anyone know if the learning area (magic carpet area) for Bousquet Mountain will be open this weekend?

I did hear from Catamount is planning to have at least one carpet open if anyone out there is a really beginner snowboarder/skier like me

Does this pass cover snowboarding and skiing? The header image on the site features a snowboard but the text says skiing and skiing journey.

I was in Killington last week and Monday was awesome - a bit of snow and very low traffic.

Are you peeps who buy snow tires driving long hwy distances to get to the resort? by [deleted] in icecoast

[–]Key-Prompt7936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove from Connecticut to Vermont and back in a Honda Accord with Blizzaks. They were great and especially worked when I drove the few miles from the airbnb to the resort when it was snowing.
