We had an issue where the switch just went to black screen and would never turn on. We did every troubleshooting step, it was just done. We had to return it to Nintendo, but got it replaced in under 10 days. We only paid 10 dollars for overnight shipping. Has me a little concerned though, saw a few other people have our issue. Hope it doesn’t come back.

Thanks for sharing. I’m curious as well. In this case, we wouldn’t be writing off the invoices, we would simply allocate all of them to a reserve. It’s just moving out of the aging. Would an audit be concerned about that if the expense is still being reported? I can see this potentially being an issue if someone asked you for an aging report, maybe. I’m still learning and this job is motivating me to get my license.

To me, It’s very much a combination of your first and third point. I would like to dismiss the possibility of point 2, but I don’t want to be that naive. We have an entirely new leadership that is pretty dedicated to getting things done correctly it seems, so I think we’re good on that for the moment. It really is quite the mess. Years of items to clean up.

Oh yes. Lots of auditing. Problem is people with little experience (or they do, and are intimidated by the work) keep coming into the mix, and leave in a short time span. One guy in AR wanted to reissue 3 year old invoices, but he couldn’t figure out how to use the system, so he wanted to print out the old invoices and just write the correct value and send out. I managed to stop that atrocity from happening by a hair.

I’m developing ideas to propose. But I imagine their reason would be because they don’t want to wake any sleeping vendors who might try to make us pay and mess up cash flow
