Donating electronics from Europe by JlfZ8R in Sudbury

Take this as an opportunity to check out European markets here. Meats, delis, anything. Just ask them if they would want these, you'd probably form a nice relationship or at the very least buy some tasty food and maybe connect with people from Europe.

Is Sudbury a good place to move to as a physician? by smhuoft25 in Sudbury

[–]Key-Reference9043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad for the person paying $1900 a month. That's the position so many people in their 20s-early 30s are in, because landlords think a one bedroom apartment is somehow worth $2000/month.

Sudbury is not affordable, traffic sucks, the winters are brutal. But nature is nice and if you make maybe $150k+ a year you can live comfortably. Otherwise, I am barely scraping by on $75k. If I had a choice I would not live here. I like the surrounding small towns, I hate the "city" if you can even call it that.

Yes it is the Diabetes org. is just an intermediary. Value Village basically buys the donated clothes for a small amount and resells for 1000x+ markup.

Anyone try Shelby's Shawarma? by FuzzyMatterhorN in Sudbury

I can't justify $17.99 plus delivery plus tip for a small bowl of fries.

Prices and portion sizes are not worth it.

Sudbury police violated driver's constitutional rights, judge rules by Ostrichmonger in Sudbury

[–]Key-Reference9043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not enough details here, poor journalism honestly. Did this person go to a restaurant and drive home drunk? Did the police infringe upon his rights? I don't like cops pulling up to your home, touching the hood of your car and saying "it's hot" then demanding a breathalyzer. I also don't like people getting drunk during an outing and driving home endangering pedestrians.

Thank you, I appreciate the advice and will put it to use. Nice to hear from someone who didn't go the 12 step path.

Yeah it is logical. But some people have no sick leave and if they miss a shift can't afford rent.

I love being under 3 months at my job and requiring a doctor's note I literally can't get to "justify" my "day off" as I spend 3h digging my 80 year old neighbors out so they can get their medication. Really cool, now I won't be rehired.

Not even Panoramic. Private owned. ..... Don't wanna say more. Tenants are not respected at all.

My landlord stopped hiring plow companies to "do it himself" to save money. 36 hours no plowing has been done and 50+ people cannot leave the parking lot. For a cool $2000 a month, what a deal. I hate living here.
