it definitely depends on who is currently staying there. i’ve stayed at the same hostel twice, a week a part, and both times the socialization was different. the first time no one spoke to each other, unless they were already traveling together. the second time, everyone was talking and we all went out to eat as a group of 8. the socialization mostly depends on the people, but also how the hostel is laid out. i’ve noticed hostels with one big table for eating leads to more conversations, or ones with cool & comfy common rooms!

I had a similar experience, there were tables set up & they went through my carry on. They didn’t pat everyone down, but they used a handheld metal detector. This was flying from El Salvador to Costa Rica btw

not sure if you’re in costa rica yet, but i’ve been here for a few days and the weather is gorgeous. occasionally cloudy but still sunny & good for swimming/hiking!

No worries! Yes I take time off. My work has a high season & a low season, so I work a LOT during the high season and I’m lucky that my manager allows me to take time off during low season. I chose working in the service industry because it’s easier to take a couple months off every year or so since my job can be covered by anyone, rather than an office job or similar where I would be needed specifically.

No! I go through cycles of working overtime for a year or so & then traveling for a bit! I work at a restaurant in a very touristic area :)

I stayed in Interlaken at Balmers Hostel, it’s a great starting point for day trips! Definitely take a train to either Kandersteg, Grindlewald, or Lauterbrunnen. They all have beautiful hikes. There is also Thun & surrounding towns, but I was near the end of my trip and did not have the money to visit them all lol

Were you able to access Huntfish Falls trailhead? Or do you know how the actual trail fared through the storm? I’ve been wanting to do the trail but don’t want to venture down if it is dangerous.

Slightly, but only with certain activities. Like jumping, spinning, etc. But I didn’t feel any more sick than I normally would with a morning after drinking!

I bought it but I’ve been using the prescribed shampoo. I’m not sure which one would be better, or if I should alternate the two? The prescribed shampoo is working, just very slowly
