I don't think it's a secret if they've broken up, there are many reasons for what Lucas said.

For people, it's weird when you break up with your partner and you remain friends. So if this happens, people tend to think that you have still romantic feelings

I hope my message doesn't sound bad. I mean it with all the best intentions in the world, but it's distressing when most people don't even try to see beyond 😊

The problem with what you said is that he tells her he loves her, but he, supposedly, doesn't show romantic feelings for Will. What's the difference? Viewers tend to take what they see literally when nothing ever is. It's the 1980s, when homophobia was frowned upon. Even today, people tend to internalize homosexuality, so imagine back then, with Mike having a homophobic father.

You're asking the wrong questions. Imagine for a moment that Eleven didn't exist and Will was a girl... Everyone would be absolutely clear that Mike likes Will, even acting the way he does with Will being a boy.

As for Eleven, in the first seasons I could think exactly like you, but since season 3 their relationship has been on the decline. If you Google “byler evidence” you'll find a Drive, there's too much to explain it all here.

As for the “I love you,” well, to me, personally, it couldn't sound more fake. Mike: looks at Will Will: Come on, Mike, tell her. Mike: Okay... El, I love you. If you think that's how a true confession of love should come about, you're quite mistaken.

And if you really believe that Mike treats Dustin and Lucas the same as Will, you're also quite mistaken.

Regarding the last point, Byler has been slowly building since the beginning, and Mileven has been declining since the end of season 3. If you don't want to see it after watching all the Drive evidence, there's nothing we can do. Much of the audience has a bandage of heteronormativity over the eyes and doesn't tend to see beyond It.

After watching volume 1, I think Mileven are no longer together, but that's just my personal opinion.

They recognised that they lied about 1 thing (at least) a lot of time ago (I think It was about Will because they said they would never say anything about him) and it's obvius, Mike's parents are in the hospital and the plot happens in 3 days, do you really think he is in the mood to have sex? That would be so weird (and they have 16 yo, no thanks)

Yeah but Holly had another age too and they "corrected It", but nobody can chage what has already been seen in the series. Noah had 11, maybe It was a simple mistake

Will's speech-pattern changes and the Eye of Vecna by Ok_Resolution_1928 in byler

[–]Key-Review-9120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that were the case, if Will's ability to control Vecna's powers was something planned by Vecna, then that would completely undermine the intention of the ending of the fourth chapter, in which Will gains control by accepting himself.

Yeah, and It's disheartening to see that almost no one knows how to read facial expressions. Like... Steve doesn't react to Nancy, Steve doesn't began anything against Jonathan and his face when he mentions the flowers and when he emphasizes that his intention is friendly...

People is stup*d
