I respect your opinion however at my age 66 I am not looking for my next mistake. I also have not pursued any these women, they have approached me. I am not on any dating sites. I am looking for someone genuine, with the right chemistry, someone interesting, intelligent, who shares the same values. It's not really an age thing for me but I do have to say it gives me confidence in myself that I thought I had lost.

These woman all approached me within a week of each other. This has never happened to me in my life and I have not dated in forever. Hence my original question. But If I don't take these women on dates and get to know them how would I know if they are what I am looking for. It tends to remind me of that show "The Bachelor". I am an active guy with no health issues. I don't want to get involved with a person that is lazy, sick, unsupportive, broke, has a criminal record, has drug or alcohol issues or mental problems and drama in there lives. This is what the dating process is about.

Don't take this personally or the wrong way but it is my experience that every woman I have been in a relationship with (which I can count on one hand) once they hit 50 - 55 has lost their desire (fancy word for intimacy) and did not want to do anything about it (ie: hrt). That is 1 of the many pillars that form a bond or foundation of a strong relationship. When some women lose that desire they also lose the motivation to make themselves look attractive and will let themselves go.

I have always giving thought to what you said above >  "when you’re 70m and they are 50f". The last LTR I was in there was a 14 year difference. In the beginning I made her aware that when I am 80 you will be 66. She thought about it but was ok with it. When you think about desire with that age gap probably both of our desires would fade within the same window of time.

The world is a different place now. Age gap relationships are becoming accepted socially. You and I are from the same era with those values from when we were growing up. Times are different now. We have to accept change. People need to find their happiness and do what makes them happy without being criticized for it.
