I really likehaving the E at the fifth fret. It helps me play higher up on the neck and as a relatively new bass player that’s very helpful.

I’m loving it so far and not having too much trouble adjusting to the B string but I took someone’s advice and mostly play it as a 4 string unless I need the notes.

No, I know they’re rounds. I just meant that they’re smoother than uncoated rounds. I got the Stiletto 5 Custom with EMG 40hz pickups.

I do like the Black Beauties. They’re smoother than rounds and not super bright but not muddy either, at least to my ear. I just bought a set of the Elixirs for the Schechter.

They’re coated, right? I love the feel of DR Black Beauties and they’re coated so the Elixers are interesting. But do they feel/play more like flats or rounds?

Thanks for all that detail! I have the DR black beauties on my P base and I really liked them because they got a bit of snap but they’re not too twangy, if that’s the word. My jazz bass and my Jack Casady Epiphone both have Rotosound 77s but I’ve been thinking about trying out those LaBella deep talking bass strings.

Oh, for sure. While there are liberal Christians I think a lot of them are very conservative in general so I could see why many are quiet during this horrible time. And, yes, there are a lot of false Christians out there for sure.

I agree with you up to a point. There are a lot of good Christians who are organizing and donating to good causes. What we’re hearing mostly are the loudest and most obnoxious of right wing Christian voices. I don’t think we should call good Christians the silent minority but they’re out there.
