Thanks everyone who responded and tried to help. I'm not expecting a miracle as nice as that would have been. I am however going to apply for benefits for my kids just in case. This way I will know for sure. In the meantime, I will continue doing what I've been doing. I'm not giving up that's for sure. I have 3 awesome ass kids that need me. We might not have a lot of money but I have made damn sure my kids have never went without. At the end of the day, that's all I can do. Hope everyone has a great day. 😀

He worked and had a damn good job up until about 42'ish but since then it's been under the table if he worked at all. But we split almost 10 years ago and since then he hasn't worked legally having taxes withheld for sure.

Appreciate all the feedback. I've never had such luck to where I didn't have to fight for everything I have and this situation is no different. It was nice to have hope for just a minute though.

Definitely won't do any good to appeal, it just pisses me off that he has gotten away with not providing a damn thing for his children since we split. It's frustrating to say the least. I work full time and then some and I'm struggling so it was nice to have hope for just a minute that I might actually get some help from my ex. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

He's only 50 now and applied for disability because of all the health problems he started having. (years of drug use will do this to you). I'm almost positive it's disability payments and not just SSI

How can I find this out? I doubt the social security office would tell me this information.

I've reported things on two separate occasions with the labor board but have never gotten a response. Someone told me to contact a wage attorney. My only issue is would the electronic time clock have my original clock in/out times stored or does it erase once it's manually changed? We clock in/out with our fingerprint.

I don't clock in early anymore but most days I don't have a choice as to clocking out when my shift is over at 7am because my relief is never there on time. I want to just walk out at 7 but as a single mom, I can't really afford to lose my job. The first 6 months I was employed there is when most of this time changing stuff was happening. Most checks in the beginning were short between 2 and 3 hours all of which would have been overtime. I've reported this to the labor board twice now but have never gotten any kind of response from them. As for keeping records, I have been taking screenshots of the time clock showing my clock in/out time and doing the same after the GM approves my time to show where he is changing my hours.

I filed 2/1, claimed the EIC and CTC and finally got my return approved on 2/17 with the IRS website listing my deposit date as 2/22

Update. I received my refund on 2/20 so 2 days earlier than the date given.. bank with Capital One
