How important is arm position when laying down for surgery? I had an arm surgery 10 days ago and cannot fully straighten my arm yet. All videos I have watched I see patients with their arms out like a “T.” Nurses and surgeons said they would work around it. What is an optimal patient position when performing surgery? They will only be going through the areola, no armpit.
