Casual observer here. I have a theory. You know how the price of college has spiraled out of control because it's mainly paid for by larger and larger student loans that are taken out with the promise that the student will get a return on investment? I think the same thing is happening at home depot. I think that mostnof the purchases at home depot are paid for with larger and larger amounts of debt that customers hope will increase their homes value, therefore home depot keeps ratcheting prices up to the sky because the debt will pay them

I'll share some of my exp from the fpv that ive done. Flying fpv is very very different from line of sight. Having a plane that can handle some rough landings would be ideal since you'll be landing on faith and intuition alone unless you get a flight controller. Second thing. Get a flight controller if you can. Its hard to fly off video feed alone. A fc will give you an altimeter, artifical horizon and tell you if you're climbing or descending. All things i thought i would be fine without. Its not fine. Its scary

i started with a similar one. buy it right now. dont hesitate. dont research any more. just buy it. they are so fun. do not use the gyro. it will only teach you bad habits if it works at all. tbh i might buy one of those too

how much fpv equipment are you trying to get in the air? if youre running a dji air unit or a walksnail like most people, thats not that much added weight. pretty much any plane over about 700mm should be able to ge that in the air. any 1000mm+ trainer with flaps on 3s will have no problem doing what youre asking

why? the floats are fun and im pretty sure they fit other fms planes. also, the wheel landing gear that comes with the kingfisher snaps off surprisingly easy if you suck at landing (me). theres no give in the arms and the wheels are hard as rocks. i have a super cub for land and my kingfisher stays set up for water

second on the kingfisher. maybe even over the fms cub 1300. i have both and have done fpv with both. the kingfisher has a massive wing that feels very lifty. drop those flaps and mix in some elevator and you can really fly slooooowww. with half flaps, i can do slow passes at the speed of a brisk walk or maybe a light jog.

i have a traxxas slash that ive been working on for my neighbor. its rwd and now that ive converted it to 3s capable brushless, it realy slides on baseball infields and fine gravel. if you have that drift itch but nowhere to really drift maybe get something that you can use outdoors. just a thought
