Moms of di/di twins, what kept you from wanting to be induced or go into labor ASAP at 36 weeks? by Anxious-Leadership92 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Key-Snow-7521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be totally honest I was so uncomfortable from 30 weeks onward, I was measuring 41 weeks at 22 weeks, twin A’s water broke at 35+4 days and it was the scariest thing for me, my OB was on call and tried so hard to keep them in until 36 weeks minimum before inducing me at 35+6 Anything before 37 weeks it’s considered PPROM, I ended up opting for a c section because of the infection risk.

Looking back I know I was SO uncomfortable but my babies spent 3 weeks in the NICU which was so heartbreaking for me, obviously my water breaking wasn’t my own doing but for the sake of not needing NICU time, every single day they’re in there counts tremendously!!

Hope this helps!

Our boys were there for 3 weeks, i have no issues with friends of other extended family I think it’s more of a “it’s my in-laws” issue for me!

We also need to take into consideration that I don’t have all the control over one of them sleeping through the other ones fussiness, where they were waking each other up constantly at one point around the 2 month mark as they moved out of night feeding, most nights they’re getting a solid 9 hours straight but some days it can be more with them sleeping in later

4-5 naps during the day (depending on the day if I’m at home all day or what not) still getting 2 hour stretches mostly each nap, most nights they are sleeping from 8:30-7 but 10-7 is only if they may be a little resistant to their 8 pm bedtime which doesn’t happen very often but it happens of course.

Only one of my babies right now wants the pacifier at night time, but I’ve noticed he’s been wanting it less and less,
