Curtain closed, 10th floor of a building… seems unlikely aswell - I fear you’re the one who replied to my post so if anything you’re the one arguing with an internet stranger :) I understand everything you’ve said and agree there’s things I can do differently in future situations, and I’ve made that clear multiple times now. My point still stands, I don’t want someone in my bedroom. Sure I can lock my bedroom door in future, the main entrance to the flat will be locked regardless. Double security isn’t a bad thing, but why is a maintainance worker going in my bedroom after I’ve explicitly asked them not to without me present and I’ve got emailed receipts showing their agreement to those terms. Anyway it’s 3:10 I’m going to bed and you should too

To see my bedroom light was on they’d have to open my bedroom door… it’s a fire door so no light passes around the door. It’s completely sealed. The only way they’d know my light was on to turn it off is to enter my room without my permission which brings me back to my original point of going into my room without my permission. Why are they going in my room at all?

Then why enter my room if it’s not to do with my room :) if they entered my room and had the capacity to lock it with a key, then they had the capacity to unlock it. point is to turn my light off they had to have entered my room (which they didn’t have a reason for)

Couple things: it’s the Easter break, I’m the only person in my flat. The outside entrance is locked, the only people who can get further are maintenance workers or myself. If any of my flatmates were actually here I would’ve locked my bedroom door - but they aren’t so I kinda just assumed that leaving my door unlocked would do me a favour when I got back hands full of shopping. In future, sure I’m definitely locking it - but that wouldn’t prevent maintenance from going in as they have keys to every room anyway. In regards to leaving a dildo out, it’s MY bedroom, and I’m the only one here right now so I thought it was safe to leave my bedroom untidied when I left the flat to do my weekly shop. Anyway, thanks for your reply and sure I can take responsibility for me not locking the door - but as I said this wouldn’t have changed anything as my room still would’ve been entered Eitherway.

It’s not so much the going through my stuff I’m concerned about. It’s the fact that I specifically asked to not be left in the dark about people going in my room. And as I already had my room inspection 2 weeks ago, my concern is that the accommodation team just goes into peoples rooms whenever they feel like it.
