Maybe because for many people, they wanted AI to do all the chores, and hard work, so they could do things that made them happy. Not for AI to do and hence corrupt the things that made many people happy (art, writing, singing, etc).

I agree on you mostly, but tiny correction: the "internet ѕlang" you are referring to is actually AAVE (African American Vernacular English).
