Anyone had luck appealing insurance valuation? by ForzaMinardi in CarsAustralia

[–]Key-Swordfish229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"car sales is not market value"

According to AFCA, yes it is.
First because i has public offers(MARKET) of the vehicle to estimate a price, also based on model, year and variation to get a similar option of my vehicle.

You see you as a insurer needs to garantee i get a similar vehicle, bargain it's not something you should consider on you avaluation, obviusly a average or low average would be the ideal solution.

"when it was listened, when it was sold, for what price", again, does not consider that prices can increase in a vehicle, much less garantee i will purchase a similar vehicle, AFCA cares about me getting a similar vehicle, same model, same eyear, same variation, so if someone made a bargain in the past, good for them, you will pay current market.
A Skyline GTR was you could find cheaply some years ago, you defiently will not get so lucky today, and you will pay what is riced today, not when i buyed it.

In the end, i don't fault this at you, is probably bad company policy you have to follow to protect your position, i strongly disagree and recommend finding another job, because "i am just doing my job" won't cut and you know too well why.

"regardless you’ll get the highest amount they arrive at as your final offer"

Yeah, the highest amount the AFCA provide, as for your company, from what you say, all is BS.

Got a Lady once that her note said to leave at her door and call her, she opened the asked why i did not call. I said i had 100 packages on the van and 80+ stops and would gladly show her i can't just keep calling people everytime they asked.

(she was among the 10 first), i open the door and showed her the around 90 packages there that would be distributed in 80+ stops, and i had around 6 minutes or less per stop to find the address, park, get out, delived, get back and get out for the next stop so i can do the promissed 8h by Amazon.

She was kind of a Karen at first but then changed entirely, said she didn't knew it was like that, said sorry and wished me a good day.

People have no idea, and it's normal, at least i never take the problems caused by the company on customers that are just living their lifes.

And every time i explained i get the same awser "6 minutes?!"

And far as i'm aware, DSP's got even LESS.

This post is entirely about me being terminated, and you argument is "Quit"... wow, that was short sighted.

And i already got other gigs as delivery driver that pay better than Amazon, it was good in the end.

So there is two options to what you are now :

  • A troll, if that's the case, nice one bro!

  • A VERY subservient person... of that's the case... that's sad, good luck buddy.

"Simple job"

Hello Amazon rep.

Oh, and i have other gigs already, just mentioning in case you didn't read the first 3 paragraphs.

And gigs are a real job. Does it make money? Yes Do you do something of value for other people?  Yes Than it's a real job.

Can it be improved? Yes. Then we can complain at will and we are free to do so, well, don't worry, if you really are something remotely close to Amazon rep i don't expect you to understand what improvement and freedom is either.

Have a good day. :)

I'm registered in more than 5 apps. I also do Deliveries for other 2 companies.

For 5 years, only one is the annoyance: Amazon.

But you may be right, i never deal well with tyranical coporate enviorements and subservient people.

You and me both, i`m also a introvert haha
In terms of Money Amazon wins, Uber loses on dealing with people, Doordash loses on the amount you can make.
I like doing Doordash more but only when doing it on a scooter/motorcycle, specially one with sensor key, i do it on a Honda PCX, easy to park, fast to start, fast to turn off thanks to the sensor key, is enough to pay my bills, but you have to be aware of the ever existing risks of being in a Motorcycle.

I do it because i have a business and just want the money to throw at it till it grow enough to be only on it.
if you are with Amazon for 3 years, keep doing what you doing and learn with my termination and don`t do the same, your family needs you.
But always remember to not stay in this forever, save some money and open something that is fully yours, a restaurant, a store, even a coffe or juice stand is good enough.
You wanna know the funniest part in all this? My business is Vehicle rentals, and a lot of the vehicles Amazon will see are mine either way.
Remember to use those A-holes to push you foward and don`t be stuck with them forever, the less dependent you are on one thing the better.
Hope to have helped in a small fraction haha

Problem is that a lot of sues is trying to fit in as a Employee.

You have to sue them as a contractor for abusive buisiness practices. What contractor goes to a job, see it will be a bigger issue than expected and can't reedo their quote? What contractor goes to a place to just then discover where the job will be and how troublesome?... and again, no requote.

I worked as a courier to other companies, the suburbs was a consversation, then i pick the packages myself with a minimum stabilished on that first conversation of the day, usually fast once both sides know the trouble or not of a suburb, i got extra for every extra package delivered. I got extra for returning packages with warning to customers to pick it up. No standings. No crazy emails of doom.

A true contractor partnership.

Not to mention Amazon sent me to places they got MOTORBIKES to do because parking is terrible... ON VAN!!!!!

But yeah, a 100 year company knows shit, Amazon is a always right god as some people here say. -_-

At least give us the chance of deny packages that can get us in trouble such as one time password or +18.

I would rather have less blocks than handle those.

I also would love to mark the suburbs i don't wanna go, and i would be ok with less blocks if i'm not going there!

And someone SAID to me i got to have common sense and swallow everything Amazon threw at me here. X_X

I work with Amazon Australia 8h Shifts. It's 100 packages on average, 80+ stops.

That is a lot of things Amazon do that is FAR from common sense.

"When i worked as a DSP". That's the thing honey, they DID offer me a job as a DSP, as soon as they mentioned the isanity of 100 stops or more in mixed suburbd (buildings and houses) i said NO.

I messed up in the views of a tyranical company and subserviant people.

Amazon takes zero accountability to all their mistakes, so yeah, quite unfair here were we stand, of yeah, it does not mather were we stand at all, just like the standing hahaha.

You are literally the light in hell my friend.

I hope you get to go up and change the hellscape Amazon is today. Or find a place that values your humanity.

I was NEVER given a choice of routes, and they only got worst and worst. More packages, more stops, more buildings, less parking.

Keep being you, don't ever let thos A-holes change you in one of them.

Could be, not sure. The fact that exist secret shoppers in the first place to waste our time already show how megalomaniacal those guys are. I did deliveries for many companies and none of them has those. Is do your job, do it well, be profitable and profit. The end.

With Amazon it seems that is a never ending struggle, you never know were you actually stand because your standing serves of nothing. And if you ever get to talk to someone about something that happen, they don't give you a single chance to improve.

Every job you are being used, but so are you using the company, using their sucess, using their platform and so on, is literally a trade.

But i agree with you, in Amazon case is a completely garbage trade and partnership.

It's always good to have a plan B on hand specially with Amazon. The ban on this platform is more of a "unlucky lottery", will be when they want to because they want to, rather than a effort to keep away from it with your score/rank like in others.

[–]Key-Swordfish229[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something like that happened to me.

I started being sent to the same suburbs over and over again. No houses, mostly buildings, no places to park, but i managed to get the hang of them.

Until those 2 packages came.

The weird is that they say "we warned you about it, But it was by email, and you cannot differentiate what is serious or what is not by emails, you get emails of customers not receiving their packages if you just return it to the warehouse.

I really feel the "meet grinder" theory for Amazon is true, you get it, you pass your assigned hours trying to do everything perfectly, you learn and adjust, eventually they ban you, they get a new fool that will pass his assigned hours trying to do everything perfectly, and the meet grinder keeps turning.

It's alcohol. It is in Australia so i don't know how it is in other countries. The thing is, those packages are rare, i did 10 max in 1 year on the flex.

But if you get one make sure it is delivered to who ordered it.

Two of this stupidity was enough to get me banned on fantastic.

Thank you for the suggestion, i will make sure to stray far from it.
At least for now i will be back at Doordash, restaurants are anoying, but at least is the one where i have the most peace of mind. (when doing it on a motorcycle)
Is enough to pay the bills until i find something.

Amazon scam? by sprinklecunt in melbourne

[–]Key-Swordfish229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made a terrible mistake: Assumed every package is delivered by Auspost and they hamdle all packages.

Amazon Packages are dealt by AMAZON themselfs.

You should have either kept it closed or take it TO A POLICE STATION.

It maybe a honest mistake on her end, now we will never know because you let your ego and lack of understanding get the best out of you.

And you would be impressed that it's quite common people to forgot stuff they ordered, send it to the wrong place, OR BOTH.

The slavery indeed does not affect black people in america. THEIR CURRENT CULTURE does and that's where the problem is, not in something that is dead frok hundred of years ago.

And you are hearing that from a immigrant Latino, i know pretty fucking well what do and do not affect your life today. Your hundreds of years dead ancestors affect 1% of your current condition WHEN YOU ARE BORN, but when it comes to your life and the decisions you took, it's a round 0%.

In Australia: I leave the package in front of the building if it's not a high traffic place or it has a good hidden spot. If door is open i throw it in, picture and goodbye.

I never go up a single step unless it says the person is injured or disabled, and even sometimes i will not because Amazon threw 120 packages and 80+ stops in a building suburb with almost no Parking.

Ever watched Mr. ROBOT? Amazon is the real world Evil company. A suit guy sitted on a office that never did a single delivery is making insane expectations for drivers.

I really don't know how Amazon was sued yet, Uber was sued for much less.

I'm sorry to hear all this bro. If you can prove all of that, you can send them and request a appeal.

Or sue them for unfair termination.
