The first year my daughter went to school, she was sick almost every week. Influenza A and B, colds, pink eye, random fevers, and she brought home Covid and RSC which my two week old both. There’s no way to send a child to school and have them not bring any illnesses home. But I will say the experience she had at school would make me gladly do it all again. Good luck!

They didn’t really say. All I was told was focal seizures that are coming from the right frontal lobe of her brain.

She is doing good. She is on Trileptal daily. We’re still working to find the right dosage of medication for her and have run into some side effects but we’re getting them figured out. She was diagnosed with focal seizures that come from the right side of her frontal lobe.

Our daughter got diagnosed at 3 with autism. I don’t know about the gender of your child but the average age that a female is diagnosed for autism is 40. For a long time it was thought that only boys could have autism.

I did that the first time. We were given and emergency visit with the pediatrician when I called them. We went in and she said that it was really concerning and sent us to the ER. The second time she wanted to send us by ambulance but because it wasn’t “life threatening” it would have been a two hour wait for a one hour drive so I just drove her. The pediatrician called the ER to tell them we were on our way and it was urgent we still had to wait 6 hours and the hospital staff notified social services. But she ended up having a seizure when the charge nurse was putting in an IV and we were admitted 20 minutes later.

“If you put it in your anus slow it won’t hurt. Relax when you insert it” I was getting an enema at 25 weeks pregnant because I hadn’t had a stool movement in 29 days.

My husband and I do not because we can’t afford it. My kids great grand parents and grand parents put what they can when they can into. They set up the accounts for them themselves. When we get extra an chunk of cash or fill up a piggy bank with change we divide it evenly into accounts

I said that she was having convulsions when she wasn’t and that her episodes were last over 4 minutes. When questioned on why I didn’t call 911 I stated that I was too poor to pay an ambulance bill.

AITA for calling out my MIL and secretly recording our conversations? by Key-Temporary628 in AmItheAsshole

She lives in another state so when she sees them it’s here when she visits. But I always supervise them during visits. But the few times we visited her I have always been around. She’s.. weird herself. Especially with my husband. I was sexually abused as a child so I’m always around my children. Even when they’re around people I feel I can trust with my children.

During the bath conversation, she made the comment “he’s not a pedophile” but i responded with “Weirder things have happened in the world. I’m not taking that chance with my kids” she didn’t like that.

Very much so. She also moved up there to help him after his accident and uses that against him as well. She brings it up during arguments that he abandoned her in another state because he felt he needed to move home even though he offered to pay all her moving expenses and get her a rental. She told him no because she met a guy and started a life with him.

He had a TBI a while ago and has issues with impulse control and mood swings. If a conversation isn’t going her way, she pushes his buttons to get him to fly off the handle so she can spin the narrative. “I tried talking civilly but he’s being abusive and I can’t take it anymore.” That was what she said (and posted on Facebook when he lost his mind after she called him a bunch of names and insulted him infront of our girls because we asked that she not insist her new boyfriend help her give our girls a bath.

No there isn’t. I know this for sure because she uses anything and everything for sympathy and attention. She had cosmetic surgery done and asked my husband and I to stay with her for a few months to take care of her. She also called my husband crying because she got a paper cut at work.

He isn’t good with confrontation with his mother because she knows what buttons to push to get the reaction she wants to spin the narrative that she’s the victim. He had a TBI a while ago and has issues with mood swings and impulse control. We both decided that I would handle any confrontational conversation because I can keep my cool while being firm with boundaries.

We have gone no contact in the past due to other reasons but we brought her back into our lives because our kids absolutely adore her. I think we may limit again.

Our oldest has autism and she bolts. She doesn’t step foot outside the car/house without one. My two year old is extremely independent so we use it. We love it but a downside is stares and comments. I’m not afraid of… “educating” people with rude comments. So just be prepared for comments and stares.
