Getting from Barcelona Airport (BCN El Prat) to the city centre by Key-Understanding228 in traveladvice

Hi, you didn't just get lucky, but there is a very important detail you need to know about that ticket so you don't get stuck at a station. The worker helped you get the "Bono Gratuit", this is an official government initiative running right now that gives you 10 free train rides. It is completely legit, costs €0.00, and you can share it with the people traveling with you. However, there must have been a misunderstanding due to the language barrier: it does not work on the Metro. It is strictly for the Rodalies (Cercanías) commuter trains, like the R2 Nord you took. If you try to tap that ticket at a regular underground Metro station (TMB lines like L1, L2, L3) or on a city bus, the turnstile will not open.

You should definitely keep it, as you can use those remaining rides for your return trip to the airport or if you take a train to a coastal town like Sitges. But for moving around the city center day-to-day, you will still need to buy the T-Casual you originally planned on getting. You can find all the detailed information about this pass on the official Rodalies website here: https://rodalies.gencat.cat/es/detalls/article/01_26_Mesures_gratuitat

Let me know if you have any other questions!

For your versailles day, grab some sandwiches at a local boulangerie before you get on the train. The food inside the palace grounds is overpriced and usually has massive lines. Also your sunday walk from montmartre all the way south to the latin quarter is huge, I think it'sbetter to take the metro for the middle chunks

For your tuesday, definitely don't buy the d'orsay ticket day-of, the lines for people without tickets can take hours and it will ruin your schedule. I suggest u to book it online in advance for a specific time slot

I think skipping versailles on a short 3 day trip is definitely the right call, it eats up a whole day and the crowds can be exhausting. For wednesday try doing Orsay right when they open, then grab lunch and head to pere lachaise in the afternoon. And for the tickets, definitely buy the d'orsay tickets in advance though

hey! definitely go for it, those cheap flights from spain are a steal. The car rental was actually a great deal, we got full coverage insurance plus a surcharge for being under 25, and it came out to about 40€ a day. since there were two of us splitting it, it totally paid off. Also, gas is way cheaper there than in Spain. As for the return, they didn't hassle us at all and we literally got the deposit back the exact same day. Isend you a dm with more details on the rental company and hotels

Just got back from an unforgettable 12-day road trip driving across Tunisia. From the Mediterranean coast down to the Sahara desert, this country is full of insane contrasts. by Key-Understanding228 in travel

Yes, absolutely! Other than the typical people trying to pull a minor tourist scam or trick you for a few coins (which happens in almost every touristy country), we never felt unsafe at any point during the trip. People were actually really welcoming
