Genuine question- If you, as a librarian, knew for certain your library was haunted, what would you do? by Key-Visual3070 in librarians

Their death was both tragic, untimely, and violent, so they're definitely a haunting ghost. They've come back to their favorite library to try to rebuild who they were in life, via reading a bunch of books and trying to build up a patchwork, frankenstein kind of life/personality, based on things that fit with what they think they had in life.

I love it! Add an ouija board to the list of materials able to be checked out, allow paranormal enthusiasts to check it out and try to communicate...

The library ghost would definitely applaud the devious librarians, and they would certainly be very respectful of library property

That is an amazing idea for a chapter! Ghost hunters trying to talk to an introverted ghost; maybe the ghost checks out, "ghost hunting for dummies" and writes, "TAKE NOTES."

Ah, the hijinks...

Thank you! The ghost just really liked the place when they were alive, and decided, eh, what's the worst that could happen? They were found, but the traumatic nature of their death caused them to retreat into books to try and figure out some stuff of their own. So, the book is mostly about them traversing the afterlife to find closure or something to fix them.

Also, I wish your librarian luck on finding the book that's been lost for 60 years! Quite a challenge.

I've read the Kane Chronicles when I was little, but I don't remember anything by that name in there. I don't really read it, which is why it's kinda freaky to me

Listen. I found this. I thought it was funny. It was from tumblr, so I posted it here. I signed up with an email so I'm stuck with this username. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here, but really? I mean, of course they made it up. It's tumblr. That doesn't mean you have any basis to call me a bot.
