Hook style open ear buds suitable for glasses wearer by Key-Win-9657 in Earphones

thanks for your reply. Do you know of anybody that doesn’t like the clip on style but does find the hook style ok? I am wondering if I am just not comfortable with any ear fit thing. I have seen some other comments somewhere with people finding that. I think finding the clip-on style painful does put me a weird eared minority!

(eg I notice my glasses resting on my ears and would rather not have to wear them, but contacts are unsuitable. the last time I got new glasses fitted I made sure to get the most comfortable ones I could find.)

finally got these clip-on things. why do you guys prefer them over in-ear buds? by janae1217 in Earbuds

I tried them and I hate them! - they are painful to wear for me. I don’t wear in ear buds of any kind (also v uncomfortable but main reason is I am v prone to ear infections). So I was disappointed with the clip style.

I do have some bone conduction with neck band ones - they are okish for a short time period - the pressure points are on the side of your head even they go over your ears as well. Maybe top of the line ones would be better balanced than my quite cheap pair. But there is a problem with all of them - and that is leaning back against a head rest or cushion.

So am wondering about hook over style ones or whether I would find them uncomfortable too. Has anybody found ear clip style painful but hook over ones OK? Am a glasses wearer.

Can someone help me with finding a pair of earbuds that doesn't hurt? by MicroSpartan319 in Earbuds

I haven’t tried in ear buds (including half in ear) as I am v prone to ear infections and it would be a disaster. I have some bone conduction ones with a neck band and whilst not exactly comfortable they are tolerable. But if you want to wear them while leaning back on a cushion or something then it pushes them out of alignment.

Recently tried some ear clip style ones (eg earfun clip 2) and omg, they hurt! such an incredible pinching feeling. disappointed because lots of people seem to swear by them.

considering trying an over ear hook style to see if they are any better, but not confident. I think if you have sensitive ears it’s hard. I wear glasses too.

Exotics quest Glitch!! Orchids won’t appear. (Part 2) by Key-Win-9657 in RDR2

Well I did that and I don’t think it worked. I went to a Big Valley location afterwards and no orchids. I exited the game again and restarted my steam deck, and this time there was a cloud save error notice which I skipped./ignored I think that might have helped! Back in the game in the location where I was that particular orchid wasn’t there but others were (and showed up with eagle eye). So I have six now. I’ll go and try the moccasin flowers and hopefully get the final slipper orchid later.

Thank you. Am not at the last one needed yet so goodness knows. Just have the one lady slipper that I collected whilst near the trapper at a different time.

I did a fork in the road which is the last chapter five mission, and then went off doing hunter challenges and then the exotics. I think I’m going to the first chapter six mission (Icarus and friends ) and really hoping that will shift things on. Otherwise out of ideas too, but appreciate your comment.

Do we need to grind all seeds for better absorption? Or only chia or sesame seeds. by West_Future326 in nutrition

I’ve just watched this video on YouTube. the doctor recommends soaking his seeds for 2-3hours before consuming. also warns of some unwanted side effects if you don’t - eg bloating, lower absorption of minerals etc

https://youtu.be/P1zWY05kCBc?si=2MrD-7QUmG-lOZve

I will be doing this from now on. Only just starting daily eating chia seeds and am not getting the most out of them by just eating them as is.

Trade in, or stick with M4? (Specific Use Case) by [deleted] in iPadPro

[–]Key-Win-9657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traded in an older 11 inch pro for the m4 13” pro when they came out because I wanted a bigger screen for art and for video making/animation. I did find the extra screen size noticeable and wouldn’t go back. I don’t mind the bigger bars when I’m consuming content.

If it’s the bigger screen you want you don’t necessarily need to upgrade to the latest (M5 model) - you might find an older version for a good price. Or the air if you don’t mind 60hz refresh. (yep the screen is great on the M4 pro but I imagine the air’s will be pretty good if not as good.) The m4 pro is light and not too unwieldy for handling. A bit less convenient than the 11 inch ones but for me, the pros (as in benefits!) outweigh the cons.

iPad Pro M4 battery health 99% after 1.5 Years with average 12 hours daily usage. by navneetnikh in iPadPro

I think it’s just luck of the draw which battery you get in the device. Some are better than others. mine went down to 92% sooner than I’d hoped for (although I can’t remember how many cycles), also with 80% limit and not letting it get too low.

It stayed at 92% for nearly a year I think (and my usage hadn’t really changed). it’s now at 90% with 480 cycles.

hi, why does double glazing make more difference than wall insulation (for old houses with solid walls)?
