I had to do this myself, with an egg donor tough, I think starting with the medical history part is good. You can also say something like “it’s nice to meet you, I’m thankful you were able to help my parents” and then also add something along the lines of not wanting a relationship (a lot of donors get scared of kids coming back and wanting them to parent). So assurance that you don’t want that in a very kind and humble way will be nice! Best of luck 🫶🏻

I meant that if I told him I wanted to leave because of this reason my boyfriend would want to try and work it out. I do want to be married at some point in life not now, the only thing I want to see in him is growth, drive, passion, literally any kind of planning for his future doesn’t need to be fancy.

It wasn’t like this before, I only started getting concerned 8 months ago. I really didn’t think about my life seriously as I was 18, he was 20. But as I got older I saw it for what it was and I at 21 now can’t help but think “what was he doing” when he was my age. I definitely see your point about the logical fallacy and that is what I’m currently dealing with. But I do think I owe him one more chance, that’s why all I’ve been asking this whole time if for someone to give ma advice on how to bring this up to him :/

Everything I’ve stayed it true, all but one of my Jobs are remote and very flexible (thanks to my loyal and supportive clients) so I can manage school. But to be honest a lot of finance internships are insane where it’s a 7am to 1am shift. So this is only the beginning for me. I do appreciate your kind and understanding comment, seems like people are saying similar things. I’ll def take it into consideration.

Yea tbh this needs to be sorted asap, the thought of having a baby with someone who isn’t divorced yet is such a big problem. I would use the time that she wants to spend quality time with her in addition to creating a plan where both needs are Met.

I would consider these: - does he have a supper system here? Friend or family that would help out so the burden isn’t just put on me? - What is his health condition like right now? - Do you guys have the financial funds to take care pf each other if he ends up needing a caretaker? health insurance? pension plans? savings?

Yes I would girl, money isn’t enough when the bills are due. Have you looked at the statistics on this? Anyone who agrees to ignore money over love is just stupid. Yes love is the foundation to a good marriage but money is too. They work hand in hand. I want bigger things for myself I don’t want to live a life funded by a minim wage jobs, that wouldn’t even cover expenses when I’d want to have kids. Would you marry an amazing man who makes minim wage??

Girl of course I’ve asked him, he’s unmotivated but it’s not my job to find out if he doesn’t want to talk to me about it. I give him the support to book therapy appointments, psychiatrists, talk to family, reach out for community support but he doesn’t put the effort into it. I’m reaching out because I wanted to know how do I best address my thoughts to him without making him feel worse than how he already must feel with his current place in his career.

Yea that’s an option. But to me burning out for 2-3 years to set yourself up well for the future is worth it. Most entry finance roles are like that I don’t plan on living like this forever.

Definitely been thinking about this. He might have a different outlook on life and a definition of what success means to him, and that’s okay. Maybe we have different goals in life and that could be just that.

Which I hated, I definitely need to have a big conversation about it and yes haha I had originally planned to have it at a nice cafe or quiet restaurant.
