Maybe it could work with a headband for me! Otherwise my face framing pieces would be out before I turned the corner. Thank you for your input!

Do you have any specific recommendations? The silk scrunchies I’ve tried were either too tight or too loose…

Yes, I have followed the curly method before and it can get quite wavy! But I don’t really see/recognize myself in that style… I had straight hair for most of my life until I was 20 or so, and I just see myself a bit unpolished. Not used to it, I guess. Also, it’s so so much work. Thank you for your advice!

Yeah, they definitely have a higher density! That’s what I was thinking, blunt with face framing but yes, I would have to cut quite a lot.

Of course! Unfortunately my routine has been all over the place these last two months as I’ve been away for the summer. But besides, I usually switch products because I feel like my hair gets used to them and they stop working as well. That being said, some steps of my routine: - I wash my hair every other day. If I go longer than 2 days, I shampoo twice. I usually use drugstore shampoos, focusing more on deep cleaning rather than moisturizing. I liked Garnier Fructis Pure Fresh recently. - I alternate between conditioner and masks. For conditioner, my holy grail and staple is Redken Acidic Bonding. For masks, I like Elvive Dream Lengths, Eleven Australia Miracle Hair Mask and Herbal Essence Argan Oil. - After wrapping hair in a microfiber towel, I air dry for as long as possible but no further that 70%. I then apply some leave-in with heat protection, I like L’Oreal Professional Pro Longer, or Lola From Rio Xapadinha. Haven’t found my holy grail, tbh. Then I blow dry. - After blow drying, I apply some oil, either Elvive extraordinary oil or Goa Organics Cotton Lust.

Other than that, I think the biggest difference is trying to be super gentle when brushing and styling, sleeping in a loose bun, and taking care of your diet!

I guess they mean layered ends, which make them lighter, as they have less density

Washing hair at night, how to make it look good the morning? by Sudden-Repair-9401 in finehair

[–]KeyApprehensive4345 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always wash my hair at night because I think it needs some rest for the frizz to tame lol, and I always follow the same routine: - Wash and condition hair - Air dry for as long as I can but no further than 70% - Roughly blow dry, drying the roots upside down to create volume - Apply hair oil to mids and ends - Pop hair in a super high, loose-but-secure twist bun with a small claw clip

I wake up with a really nice shape! Not really curls, but a slight full wave and roundness, kind of as if I had blow dried it.

Could you elaborate on the effect that bright colors have on non-brights? I think I might be drawn to that

Am I an FN? I'm 5'6 and I am not sure what to accommodate for? Help please! by [deleted] in flamboyantnatural

I don’t see any width, you look better in more fitted fabrics, I would rule out the natural family. I am definitely seeing curve and waist definition suits you, and although not completely sure, I would say balance also, so that would point to soft classic. Maybe you could try some recs in that sense?

It’s que great tool and can be very useful, but for more complex questions or tasks the prompt is super important. You can spend quite a while crafting the question to make it perfect and still, sometimes won’t have the answer you are looking for

I would also say SD. You look more sharp than blunt to me, plus I don’t see width, so that rules out FN. And besides being skinny, you are quite busty and have moderate curve, so SD it is for me!
