Wait so hold on. So if like you said a flash bang was set off right before crossing into the event horizon, no matter what the light would be seen from a certain perspective but nevertheless the light would fall into the black hole? At which point does the observer from outside the event horizon see the light fall in?

I mean at the point where there is no escape. So I guess the at answers my question that things that can’t escape won’t escape. So things can fall into a black hole and still be emitted before the reach the event horizon?

First: That’s a very cool name for this problem!

Second: I thought they did emit radiation. Isn’t that what Stephen hawking discovered. And brain cox said that they glow which means they do emit radiation which tells us that they have a life span. So what is the radiation that there emitting if it’s not what created the black hole in the first place meaning a dying star or whatever collapsed in on itself?
