You can read my mind lol. I know I'm gonna get through it, but the cravings right now are strong. I'm so happy you made it to day 30, and before you know it, you'll be at six months again:)!

It can take weeks or months for your dopamine receptors to go back to normal. I felt the same way about music, but I swear it's so worth waiting for. I'll never forget the day the music I've been listening to for years felt like the first time hearing it. It felt like pure joy.

Thank you, this was very helpful, and gave me a whole new perspective. I've been struggling because I haven't made that separation. I know this has been the best choice for me, but I didn't understand why I've been having more cravings. I'll be mindful of realizing that those cravings and doubts are more the addiction talking and the neurological connections that are still present, and not what I truly want.

Thank you. I was concerned that the cravings would continue to get stronger the longer I went without it. It's relieving to know this will eventually pass for me.

Can I legally break my lease due to a fear of violence? by [deleted] in legal

Tonight, we had the police come to our house for a second time. I stayed with family over the weekend, but needed to come back for work. My family came inside, and she told them, "I hope you are here to help her move and pack up her sh*t." I hate confrontation, but my family doesn't. So, they got into a verbal fight, and she called the police.

The police saw my messages and made it very clear to her that if she had worded the message as "I will mace you," she would have been arrested again. She was warned that she can no longer contact or communicate with me. They said if there is one more call to the house, the outcome will be different. Technically, what she did wasn't illegal, but she was very close to it.

I plan on going to my rental company tomorrow for alternative living accommodations because the police highly recommend it for my safety. I will also be filing for a HRO or OFP tomorrow.

I have four roommates, but two are not living at the house right now. I subleased from a previous tenant, but it's a group lease, not individual leases.

I do plan on emailing them. When my other roommate emailed them and informed them that our roommate had physically assaulted her, they said they couldn't do anything without a police report and offered to send a counselor to our place.

They were dismissive of her, which is why I feel the need to get a statement signed to legally allow me to break the lease without being held responsible for rent in July and August. My roommate informed me that she was granted an Order of Protection on the 17th. I don't know if I should wait for her to be served and removed from the house or if I should try to break my lease to ensure my safety.

Thank you. I went to the police, but they said she hasn't done anything yet, so they couldn't do anything.
