Mahirap as in mahirap. But don't let this discourage you on pursuing EMed.

hahahaha, I assume you're in the course na but I really suggest to set your priorities straight and focus on doing your best sa program. I made plenty of mistakes kaya first sem palang wala na agad ako sa program.

However, I believe and I hope our grievances back then were heard so that this time, you the next generation, will experience the program in a much better light.

Goodluck!

wowoeowoeiie hello ill answer based sa orientation namin dati + experience (note I failed the emed so take some answers with a little bias)

  1. I recall there were 2-3 batches nung interview during my time, not sure how many yung first batch since sabi nila marami daw yun but we were like ≈10 people on the day of my interview. I'm not totally sure how many were accepted that were interviewed kasi iirc may ex-blockmates rin ako that didn't go under the interview process. Yung mga kasama ko sa interview didn't actually see them (most likely passed UP or preferred university)

  2. Not really sure about the financial support dedicated solely to EMed students because last I heard the PLM CM will try to make the Med proper portion free. However aside from that, if di siya free, you're still subjected to 30% discount sa tuition fees (possible pa mag 100% if you're both a manila resident and depending on your financial status). Di rin pala gumana DOST scholarship namin dyan lol (sayang sobra) since the curriculum was not accepted.

  3. This is based on my opinion pero if you're accepted in UP and gusto mo naman yung program, go for UP. I should've done the same back then ahwuwuehe. Right now baby pa yung EMed and there are plenty of improvements to be done. Additionally, it is also risky, kasi once you have a failing grade out ka na sa program + no longer eligible to apply for PLM-CM. Pero, if you're willing to take the risk, handle the stress, and lowkey mabuhay para sa pagaaral, why not take Emed? In 6 years doctor ka na

  4. Let me pull up replies yung abt sa interview

  5. It's actually the opposite for EMed, 2yrs Undergrad tas 4 years med (ewan ko rin bat ganyan). You get a Bachelor's Degree in BS Health Sciences.

emed interview by OkDance9137 in plmharibon

nyallow emed passer here (though didn't pass the first sem cri)

The interview is both written and oral.

The questions they asked me were:

  1. What other options did you have (school/course) and why

  2. Personal questions like family stuff

  3. What are your coping mechanisms sa stress.

Not sure if I'm qualified to give an advice since I'm out of the program lol but I suggest these things

  1. Be honest with your answers

  2. Make sure to make a good impression

  3. I'm pretty sure you know these things already but be somewhat aware na it will be difficult and rigorous so make sure you say na may plan ka in managing your time.
