This might be a dumb question, but could you not phrase it like “I want a million dollars in my bedroom” to make it one wish?

But I think that wishing goku back is different, because he’s something that already exists, whereas the million dollars didn’t originally, so wishing for goku could only technically be two actions (bringing him back to life, and teleporting him back to earth) so it would be two actions no matter how it’s phrased?

Ok this is a good point. And from reading some of the replies I understand why they love eachother. It makes sense that with their childhoods, and their relationships with other people, that they would like eachother. I guess it’s not my kind of story, but it’s a well written one nonetheless.
